Today, we’re celebrating three special anniversaries in our Cooper family! Stephen, Brock, and Jennie are all important parts of our culture and success - we appreciate you. Congratulations! 🥳

Say hello to Jeremy Layne 👋. For over nine years, Jeremy has been a part of our estimating team- playing a critical role in helping us build relationships and execute projects. Thank you for all you do! "I am a Senior Preconstruction Estimator. My role is to price and invest time in new projects that we are pursuing while building relationships with our customers and subcontractors. The goal is to demonstrate that Cooper Steel can execute projects better than anyone through attention to detail and dedication. I was originally hired as an On-Site Project Manager. As a young college graduate, I wanted to travel, see new places, and further my career. I later returned to the Nashville office as an Estimator, and now, nine years later, I have the privilege of working with the best estimating team in the industry. I consider myself very lucky to have experienced the major growth Cooper Steel has had as a company during my nine years. I truly enjoy this stage of my career, where I can share my knowledge with our younger, up-and-coming estimators. Over the years, I have learned from some incredible individuals (you know who you are), and I feel both blessed and excited to pass that knowledge along. We always talk about doing things the "Cooper Way," and I try to represent that the best way that I can. We genuinely have a great group of people, and we work well as a team. You just can’t beat that as a career. When I talk to my friends about Cooper Steel, they often talk about how lucky I am to work at this company and that their work environments are nowhere as great as what I tell them about our culture. However, that’s not news to me because I understand how fortunate I am and try my best not to take anything for granted. I am a very family-oriented person, so I value relationships above everything. If there is anything I can do to help someone, whether it’s work-related or not, it’s very important to me that I get it done. I really enjoy being able to help create relationships inside and outside of Cooper Steel, whether it’s a customer, subcontractor, or someone in my personal life. The opportunity to make someone happy motivates me. Honestly, it’s impossible to pick just one favorite memory from my time at Cooper Steel. In addition to my role as an Estimator, it’s the opportunities I have had outside of the office to do things that I never in a million years thought I would have the chance to do. I don’t really have the words to describe how much I appreciate these opportunities."
