🕹 Introducing the ForceSketch Mini-Game Series! 🕹 For a limited time, ForceSketch features a fun and competitive mini game that puts your creativity and engineering skills to the test. Inspired by games like Wordle or the NYT Mini Crossword, this game challenges you to design the most efficient structure within specified constraints. 🎯 How it works: ♦ Start with a pre-defined structure and add members to meet utilization and deflection targets. ♦ Your score is based on the weight of your design—the lighter your structure, the higher you rank! ♦ New mini-games will be released periodically. ♦ Submissions are time-sensitive and will only be open for a week! Try it today for free at forcesketch.io and see how you stack up against the challenge!

Last weekend during the #AECTech hackathon by CORE studio at Thornton Tomasetti we tackled a common challenge during work in #Grasshopper: version control for complex definitions. Alexander Schiftner pitched an intriguing approach to experiment with graph representations for gh files. This opens up a range of use cases, from version comparison and component usage analysis across definitions to visualising these relationships as a graph. Finally my personal favourite. Using ChatGPT to generate a description of what a file does—without even opening it! Working with such a talented and dedicated team of professionals: Alexis Kotzambasis, Colin Matthews, Cullen Sarles, Justin Jao, Ka Kit Chiu, Karen Kuo, Nicholas Martino and Peter Zhang made this project a fantastic experience. If you're interested in learning more, check out our repo with #Graphhop !

What a weekend at the #AECTech hackathon in New York! I wouldn't have dreamed of the massive response to my pitch of using graph databases to tackle the everlasting Grasshopper versioning issue. Many thanks to everyone joining the team! I was amazed by our energy. This was the fourth #AECTech hackathon I participated in, and never before did my team get aligned and started as quickly. A big shoutout to Alexis Kotzambasis, Colin Matthews, Cullen Sarles, Justin Jao, Ka Kit Chiu, Karen Kuo, Konrad Zaremba, Nicholas Martino and Peter Zhang. It seems the jury felt our energy when they decided to award us the most collaborative hack 😊 I am looking forward to continue contributing to GraphHop. It excites me how much potential it brings. Thanks to the unbeatable team at CORE studio at Thornton Tomasetti for making this event possible! I feel inspired after joining the workshops, the symposium, and the hackathon.
