The Highland Park mansion that Michael Jordan sold last year is going up for rent for the month of March for $230,000. “It’s for March Madness,” said Carrie McCormick, the @properties Christie's International Real Estate agent representing the property, now called Champions Point. The property, a seven-acre estate with a nine-bedroom, more than 32,000-square-foot mansion, is now owned by John Cooper, a real estate investment executive who paid Jordan $9.5 million for it in December. In January, Cooper announced a plan to sell million-dollar shares that would entitle shareholders to one week’s stay in the home each year. In the meantime, Cooper is offering the property as an ultimate March Madness party venue. McCormick said the successful tenant will be required to pay the full $230,000 rent in advance as well as a $50,000 refundable deposit. The property comes fully furnished, she said.
