Inclusive Content Marketing for Ambitious Brands
About us
Crayons & Marketers, a WBENC-Certified WBE, is a full-service marketing company building results-driven marketing programs for firms looking to see a good return on their marketing dollars. Unlike more conventional marketers, Crayons & Marketers creates agile 90-day marketing plans that are goal-oriented and results-driven, with a strong emphasis on thought leadership and content marketing. These plans help guide marketing campaigns that are centered around tactics that make sense for your business: from digital to traditional, online to print. Paid advertising to public relations. And when it’s all said and done, we measure every campaign at a granular level, looking for triggers and trends, that help us build a realistic portrait of your ideal buyer and what motivates them to buy. The marketing programs we build are anchored to a sustainable sales and marketing system designed specifically for the ebbs and flows of your businesses. We work to determine the processes needed to execute an effective long-term marketing program that stimulates sales revenue, then streamline and automate the components for maximum effectiveness. For many clients, we give them back their people. By allowing us to take over the responsibility of their entire marketing program, from strategy to execution, creatives to market research, our clients can redirect internal resources back to where they’ll best help grow the business.

"Please accept my sincere thanks for your presentation to the Metropolitan Nashville Airport Authority Emerging Contractor’s Cohort Training Program... The presentation was as usual – on point, creative, and fun! You hit all of the key principles of the Marketing discipline and their relative importance to the operations of the small business owners in attendance." We are so grateful for these kind words from Leroy C. Cunningham, Community and Capacity Building Manager at NBIC and facilitator of this program. During last week's two-hour session, Crayons & Marketers' Chief Marketing Strategist Jacqueline Hayes, MBA, PCM® delivered guidance on go-to-market strategy, 90-day marketing plans, audience and message development, and elevator pitches. The Crayons & Marketers team had the pleasure of attending the Nashville Area Chamber of Commerce's Executive Insights event, 'Visionary Leadership: A Fireside Chat with Fawn Weaver,' today at the National Museum of African American Music. Fawn is the CEO and Founder of Uncle Nearest, Inc., the fastest-growing American whiskey brand in history. Her insights this evening were inspiring, emphasizing a message of inclusion and hope. In an op-ed she penned for TIME, Fawn noted, “Women and people of color make up 70 percent of America. We are not the minority—we are the majority. And our numbers are growing. If companies don’t figure out how to fill their boardrooms and marketing sessions with this reality—with or without mandates or programs requiring and measuring it—they will be left behind. For publicly traded companies, when boycotts are threatened, consider what the future consumer looks like. If you do the hard work now, you might find that your key to success lies not in the consumer base of the past, but in the one of the future.” As inclusive marketers, we believe inclusion is not just an ethical choice but also a smart business strategy. Consumers of tomorrow are increasingly multicultural, and embracing diversity and inclusion today is key to staying relevant. #InclusiveMarketing #Multicultural #FawnWeaver #UncleNearest #Leadership #CrayonsMarketers

Inclusive marketing can be incorporated in the simplest ways like in this full-page ad we designed for G Catering for the October issue of Nfocus Magazine. By using inclusive messaging and stunning photography, the ad reinforces a commitment to giving everyone a seat at the table. #InclusiveMarketing #GraphicDesign #ClientWins #CrayonsMarketers

Congratulations to FiftyForward and Creative Girls Rock® for a successful Construction Kickoff event for the #BordeauxCollaborative held on November 21st at the site of the former FiftyForward Bordeaux Senior Center. The event, organized by Crayons & Marketers, marked the official start of construction to transform the former 1,800-square-foot space into an 8,900-square-foot facility serving the North Nashville community. Designed by Moody Nolan Architects, the new facility will provide meeting and activity spaces for FiftyForward Bordeaux Center members, along with dedicated areas for a new state-licensed adult day services program. The facility will also offer space for girls participating in personal development and creativity classes through Creative Girls Rock® and include adaptable rooms for other nonprofits, as well as state and Metro Nashville government agencies that provide vital community resources. The brief program featured remarks from FiftyForward CEO Sallie Hussey, FiftyForward Senior Center Executive Director Melvin Fowler, Creative Girls Rock Founder & CEO CHARMIN A. BATES, Former State Senator Brenda Gilmore, Councilmember Kwonzte Toombs, West End Home Foundation Executive Director Dianne Oliver, and Construction Project Manager Don Hardin, Jr. The event was attended by the community and WKRN News 2. Today, we honor Indigenous Peoples' Day by recognizing the enduring heritage of those who first called North America home. Whether your office is open or closed, take a moment to reflect on the contributions of Indigenous communities and the challenges many continue to face. How can you get involved and make a difference? We're learning more about organizations working to address injustices against Native Americans, particularly the alarming number of missing and murdered Indigenous women. #IndigenousPeoplesDay #HonorNativeVoices #MMIW #NativeAmericanHistory

We love spotting brands that embrace inclusive marketing! While most billboards are designed to be visually stunning and easy to understand in seconds, they often overlook people with sight-related disabilities, like color blindness. Last month, on Color Blind Awareness Day (Sept 6), TD Bank and Ogilvy Toronto addressed this gap with their ‘Visible Billboards’ campaign. Partnering with color-blind artist Paul Scott Canavan, they created an ad specifically designed for those with color blindness, shedding light on the importance of accessible design. #ColorBlindAwarenessDay #InclusiveMarketing #AccessibleDesign #CrayonsMarketers
