Microsoft Disability Scholarship: The Microsoft Disability Scholarship seeks to empower students with disabilities to achieve more through access to education leading to a career in technology. Application will be open on January 22, 2025. Deadline: March 13, 2025 Award: $5,000 award Requirement: 1. Be a current high school senior living with a disability as defined by WHO, including visual, hearing, mobility, cognitive, and/or speech disabilities or other disability 2. Plan to enroll in an undergraduate program at an accredited 2 or 4-year University/College, in the fall of the upcoming academic year. 3. Pursue a degree in the following eligible majors: engineering, computer science, computer information systems, law, business, or a related field (.e.g., paralegal, pre-law, finance, business administration, or marketing). 4. Demonstrate a passion for technology. 5. Demonstrate leadership at school and/or in the community. 6. Have a high school cumulative GPA of 2.5 or higher on a 4.0 grading scale or equivalent. 7. Require financial assistance to attend college. Submission requirement: 1. Information about the post-secondary school you plan to attend 2. Your educational and career goals 3. Activities, Awards, and Honors (if possible, include awards that are technology related) 4. Work experience 5. Financial information 6. Any unusual family or personal circumstances (include circumstances caused by ongoing disability related expenses) 7. A current academic transcript. 8. Write an essay: Please share your ideas for a new technology innovation that would enhance the lives of people with disabilities. Explain how it differs from existing solutions and how it relates to your plans to be engaged in the technology industry. 9. Explore the museum in a sensory- modified and supportive setting with limited admission, as well as lowered sound and lighting. Speak to service providers and learn about community resources available to you and your family. Enjoy a sensory- friendly stage performance and participate in a variety of sensory based activities. Our goal is to provide your child with the opportunity to engage in social interactions and improve the processing, modulation and regulation of sensory input to increase their understanding of and participation in a natural environment. Have you heard of UCB Family epilepsy scholarship? The UCB scholarship was created in 2019 in memory of UCB’s global medical director. Dr. D'Souza was recognized around the world for his commitment to those who suffer from epilepsy disorders and his work at the forefront of new epilepsy treatment. In addition to his undisputed achievements in antiepileptic drug development, he excelled in honesty, integrity, and genuine concern for the well-being of his colleagues and the epilepsy community.This program offers educational scholarships to people living with epilepsy, family members, and caregivers to help them fulfill their dreams. Thirty applicants who demonstrate academic and personal achievement will receive scholarships of up to $5,000 each. Two applicants will receive Epilepsy Leader Scholarships of up to $10,000. Have you heard? Walmart is bringing back its nationwide sensory-friendly shopping hours. ‘‘Starting Nov. 10, Walmart locations across the country will open daily from 8 to 10 a.m. for sensory-friendly shopping. Have you heard of RAREis Scholarship Fund? RAREis scholarship fund is in partnership with the EveryLife Foundation for Rare Diseases, will be awarding $5,000 scholarships to 88 adults (17+) living with a rare disease. Rareis scholarship foundation was founded in 2020. Their mission is to enrich the lives of adults living with rare diseases by providing financial support for their educational pursuits. This scholarship can be used at an accredited two- or four-year college, university or vocational-technical/trade school for the Fall 2025 semester. Students must be enrolled in at least one course (in-person or online). Students do not need to be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree; the scholarship is applicable for individual courses at accredited institutions. The award is for one semester. Requirements: 1. A Diagnosis Verification Form provided by a physician must be submitted with the application. 2. Write an essay addressing the following: Reflect on a time in your rare disease journey where you intentionally practiced resilience.
