You know it's going to be a good training day when you get out of your car at 7:15am and see a rainbow over the fire department where you're presenting. Spent the morning teaching a specialized class on human trafficking dynamics and on scene identification (what you might see and what to look for) for EMTs, airflight nurses and others. Very unique class with a very interactive audience! Thank you to EVAC and the O'Fallon, Illinois Fire Department for coordinating and hosting the event. We'll be repeating the class at Maplewood MO Fire Department in December, more info to come! Kavanaugh Adam

We were honored to have the opportunity to provide training on dynamics and response to human trafficking for medical professionals for Mercy Hospital’s new class of nurses starting training to become Sexual Assault Nurse Examiners (SANE). Wonderful class! Kavanaugh Adam Cindy Malott

Yesterday, we had an amazing opportunity to speak to over 200 6th Graders at Cahokia's Wirth/Parks Middle School about Finding Safety & Well-being in our Digital World! This is the second time we've been honored to team up with our community partner Kerengende Foundation; our Community Education Coordinator serving as a guest speaker during their healthy relationships group in the school. Special thanks to Kerengende, Wirth/Parks Middle School and, most of all, the phenomenal scholars who were so engaged and bright!

Braden Markus should be alive today. Instead, he died by suicide at just 15 years old. Meta failed him by refusing to fix known defects and inherent dangers identified over a decade ago. Companies like Meta and Snapchat continue to allow for the #sextortion of children as a matter of their product design, leading to the deaths of children like Braden. In honor of #WorldMentalHealthDay, I encourage parents to speak up about social media's role in the plummeting mental health rates of adolescents. We must push for federal regulation like the Kids Online Safety Act (#KOSA) to force these companies to be safer for children. They will never do it on their own.

Just got back from Fountain Colorado setting up Crisis Aid International CAP (Children's Anti-Exploitation Partnership) office. The first in Colorado! Crisis Aid now has 11 CAP offices serving 4 states! We continue to grow and will until we cover every state! Fountain PD is a great partner to start our footprint in the area. We are excited that Sgt. Williams understood the need and made it happen. If you're in the Fountain/Colorado Springs/ El Pasco county area reach out if you want to learn more about our services, which are at no cost to anyone, the agency or families! I was also happy to meet up with Joseph Scaramucci and Skull Games while I was in town! Headed back to Trinidad on Monday!
