We could not let the day go by without a huge shout out to eHealth Exchange participants CRISP Shared Services and CRISP - Chesapeake Regional Information System for our Patients. The organization achieved major milestones in 2024, advancing public health modernization, interoperability, and health data utility initiatives. Key highlights: 👏 Selected as a Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Implementation Center under the $255M Public Health Infrastructure Grant to support agencies nationwide. 👏 Led the first #TEFCA implementation for public health in Maryland, setting a national precedent using the eHealth Exchange QHIN. 👏 Being named to the Association of State and Territorial Health Officials' Innovation Advisory Council alongside industry leaders. “For too long, state agencies and healthcare sectors have been siloed. We’re proud to pioneer pathways that better integrate these systems,” says Craig Behm, CEO of CRISP Shared Services. “By modernizing and aligning how health data is exchanged across the local and national ecosystem, we give providers, public health agencies, and communities the tools to respond more effectively to emerging challenges, enhance care coordination, and address health inequities,” says Sheena Patel, MD, CMPE, executive director of public health data modernization at CRISP and a member of the eHealth Exchange QHIN Governing Council.
