One of the great honors of my life has been to befriend living legend Gerald Lebovits, one of the most beloved and respected jurists of our time. We were so happy to celebrate his induction yesterday, or what I've affectionally termed his "retirement from Acting." The New York judiciary celebrates!
About us
Crumiller is a feminist litigation firm that is well known for representing victims in high-profile sexual harassment and employment discrimination lawsuits. We represent workers, working parents, and survivors in all types of employment and sexual abuse matters. Our clients come to us in some of the most dire situations of their lives: being harassed, demeaned, assaulted, and gaslit into believing their traumatic experiences weren’t so bad. Emotions and stakes are high, and too often in these situations, victims are forced to re-traumatize themselves by speaking to unempathetic, out-of-touch lawyers. Susan Crumiller founded the firm in 2016 after experiencing workplace discrimination herself, feeling the same emotions and pressure that our clients feel. Sensitive issues require sensitive solutions, so we listen, we validate, we contextualize, we help find clarity, and then we dive headfirst into getting our clients the help they deserve.

Still here litigating... We’ve just sent out a newsletter with updates about what the Crumiller firm has been up to the past few months. We launched our ongoing data analysis project where we attempt to demystify the litigation process. We’ve also collected some of our team’s incredible legal results on our website, including scans of materials that practitioners might find useful. You can stay up to date with our latest news by subscribing to our newsletter at the bottom of our website www.crumiller.com. xoxo, feminists

Remember to go out and vote tomorrow, Tuesday November 5th! Members of our team have been busy canvassing and early voting leading up to Election Day. Several of us will also be volunteering tomorrow down at polling centers in Georgia. We're not just passionate about the legal work we do -- we want to show up and support the fight for equal rights in every way we can. #Crumiller #TheFeministLitigationFirm

We often get asked about how long cases last, what type of cases our firm takes, and what the litigation process looks like in general. So, as a Halloween treat, we're beginning a short new Stats Series where we share the figures, numbers, and answers to your most asked questions! This graphic depicts different stages along the litigation process and what percentage of our cases settle at each stage. No two cases are alike and the length of time to get to each of these stages varies, but you can see that almost 60% of our cases settle before the litigation process even begins! Do you have any specific questions about the litigation process? Feel free to comment below, and we might get a chance to answer your question during this series! #Crumiller #TheFeministLitigationFirm

Happy National Working Parent’s Day! At Crumiller, we are proud to celebrate and champion workings parents - and to fight for their right to work and have families. On the 20th anniversary of this day, Susan - a working mom herself - and the team pay tribute to parents who provide for their families outside of the home. If you are a working parent who has experienced discrimination in the workforce, please feel free to reach out to our team: https://lnkd.in/e9uQ6nvN #WorkingParentsDay #20thAnniversay

Congratulations to our firm's newest Senior Associate, Travis! Travis has been with Crumiller for five years, and in that time has been responsible for a full gamut of employment and human rights litigation. He currently leads many of our firm's race discrimination cases and oversaw our Child Victims Act (CVA) and Adult Survivors Act (ASA) caseloads. Through his tireless work, Travis has obtained many impressive results, including the first-ever court decision conclusively stating that the CVA revived gender discrimination claims. Before joining our team, Travis worked as an Associate Court Attorney at the New York Supreme Court, Kings County, where he facilitated trials, conferenced cases, and drafted various opinions, orders, and verdicts. As a law student, Travis clerked at several boutique firms where he honed his skills in employment law and commercial litigation. Travis’s passion for civil rights and feminist principles started long before he joined Crumiller. As an undergrad, he worked at his university’s Center for Women, Gender, and Sexuality where he advocated for victims of gender violence and hosted workshops on bystander intervention. Travis has cherished the opportunity to continue human rights work as an attorney, and we could not be more excited for him to continue this work as a Senior Associate. Way to go, Travis!
