Tribe Federal Credit Union was the FIRST de novo to receive a provisional charter from the NCUA. That means they have done all the hard work (and it is ARDUOUS) to obtain a charter but still need to raise the necessary capital to begin operations. Louise Herring was the youngest attendee at the meeting (only 24 years old). She represented the state of Ohio but had to pay her own travel expenses. Roy Bergengren was not happy that a young college kid was there but she ended up being the secretary. #gsd #goat #bealouise
