It’s back! The Research in the Classroom (RIC) grant program. Eligible full-time faculty and lecturers across all disciplines are invited to apply for a RIC Fellowship, worth up to $10,000. These grants can be used for course releases, summer salaries, research materials, or student travel. Awardees are expected to implement their course designs in the 2025-2026 academic year and share their curricular materials as Open Educational Resources (OER). The CUNY Climate Consortium (C3) invites you to the first event in its Collaborative Research Workshop Series, focused on New York City's FloodNet project. This workshop will bring together CUNY’s diverse expertise to collaboratively address flooding challenges in NYC and similar urban areas. By harnessing knowledge from across disciplines, we aim to co-create equitable solutions and foster new research partnerships. The event will take place on Thursday, November 21st, from 10:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. at the CUNY Central Office,205 E 42nd st, Room 818. We encourage participation from faculty, students, and staff across CUNY who are interested in climate research, data science, urban planning, public health, and community engagement. Congrats to CUNY! 10 CUNY Colleges have been designated by the State Department as 'Fulbright HSI Leaders'. This is the most of any university system in the nation and the only schools with the designation in NY state. The 2024 list includes the City College of New York and the CUNY Graduate Center in the doctoral category; and Baruch College, the College of Staten Island, Hunter College, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Lehman College and Queens College for master’s programs. In the associate degree category, Borough of Manhattan Community College and Bronx Community College each received the HSI Leader designation for the first time
