Periods of snow set up over the interior from PA to New England, with more of a mixed rain/snow closer to the I-95. By Thursday morning, a cold front then ushers in one final round of snow showers or squalls, followed by a colder, blustery air mass. GIVING THANKS: DAY 3 of 5 In the United States, this is the week we celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday. To express our gratitude, we’re highlighting five things we’re thankful for – one for each weekday. Recognizing the many pressures that today’s growers face, we’re expressing our gratitude for the precision agriculture tools that are helping them improve crop yields and conserve crop inputs. It’s been estimated that a 1,000 acre cash crop farm can increase its annual revenue by $20,000 to $70,000 by implementing precision agriculture technologies. This aligns with studies that show precision can often help farmers increase overall crop production by about 4%. What’s more, precision ag. can help farmers reduce water usage by 4-25% and herbicide use by about 6%.
