For Jeffrey Green, MD, cardiac care has undergone an evolution over the past 20 years that's changed the very makeup of the #cardiology patient base. "When I first started practicing, 80% of patients that we saw in cardiology were people who came to us after a cardiac event," Dr. Green told us in our latest Zoom conversation. "Only about 20% was preventive. Now, it's probably reverse." With a high volume of patients seeking preventive care, documentation had become a challenge for Dr. Green at his practice, The Heart Center in Stamford, Connecticut - not just to capture comprehensive health histories, but for coding and regulatory requirements. Dr. Green started using DeepScribe in March 2024, and has paid close attention to the quality of the #ambientAI note - and how that quality has quickly evolved. Check out today's video clip to hear Dr. Green tell it. #cardiology #hearthealth #AIScribe #physicianwellbeing

When spine surgeon Amandeep Bhalla, MD started using our ambient AI for clinical notes, he and a colleague started thinking about all the ways it could "make a meaningful impact" to their Commons Clinic practice. That's some of what Dr. Bhalla mentions in this clip from our recent Zoom conversation. (The first video with Dr. Bhalla has become one of our most-watched of the past couple months.) We always hear that our ambient AI saves clinicians time. Dr. Bhalla says it also helps save his *hands* - which, as a surgeon, shouldn't be "hammering away" at a keyboard. If you missed the last video clip with Dr. Bhalla, don't miss this one. He gives you an idea of the role DeepScribe plays helping orthopedists deliver care without toiling over documentation. Check it out - and be sure to share any questions below. #orthopedics #ambientAI #physicianwellbeing #patientexperience

Easy question: What's the first reason healthcare organizations bring #ambientAI technology to their practice? Almost always: To free up clinicians from the stresses of documentation. Healthcare providers point to administrative demands as a key point of distraction and dissatisfaction. At Ochsner Health, Innovation Officer Jason Hill, MD has seen another tremendously valuable benefit using DeepScribe - and the metrics to prove it. Patient satisfaction. Dr. Hill explains on the Outcomes Rocket podcast from this year's HLTH USA event, with creator/host Saul Marquez and our Chief Medical Officer, Dean Dalili, MD, MHCM. #healthtech #AIDocumentation #patientexperience #physicianwellbeing

Two forward-thinking physicians and leaders talking about ambient AI technology and healthcare technology innovation. (As usual, Saul Marquez hosts a great show.) #ambientAI #healthcareIT #physicianwellbeing #HLTH
Ambient AI in clinical documentation is transforming healthcare by enhancing #physician workflows, marking a shift toward efficient and satisfying #healthcare #experiences. In this episode, I had the pleasure of talking with Dean Dalili, MD, MHCM and Jason Hill, two thought leaders in the healthcare innovation space, about the potential of ambient AI in clinical documentation and its impact on healthcare. Dean and Jason also highlight the benefits of attending HLTH USA and how it helps them stay ahead of the curve. Tune in to explore how ambient AI is transforming healthcare and discover insights from leaders shaping the future of clinical documentation! For some time, value-based care has been the way forward toward achieving the triple aim of healthcare. But it's also a burdensome administrative challenge. Great article in MedCity News today from Lalan Wilfong, M.D., an oncologist / hematologist at Texas Oncology, about the difficulties in setting up, managing, and scaling a value-based care initiative. In talking about how to expand value-based care via "third party enablers", Dr. Wilfong caught our eye (as well as mentioning DeepScribe partner CardioOne): "Third party enablers provide data analytics and other technology solutions to streamline the operational complexities of VBC, taking the responsibility to develop such tools off payers and providers’ plates." Spent some time this afternoon chatting with Jeffrey Green, MD, cardiologist-owner of The Heart Center in Connecticut. 🫀 His thoughts on the patient's perspective when #ambientAI is in use were particularly interesting: "Even if I sit with the patient for five minutes, to them it might feel like we were talking for 45 minutes, because it was my full attention. I think for cardiology - or any practice really - that's what you want your patient to feel like. As a patient, you want to feel the doctor's paying attention to you and not clicking boxes on the screen." Keep an eye out for video clips from the conversation. (Just wanted to share that before the weekend. 🙂 🩺) #cardiology #AIDocumentation #hearthealth #patientexperience

You may have read our recent feature on CardioOne, the standout organization that gets cardiology groups the technology and services to help them practice independently. Supporting that independence is a core component of the CardioOne mission - with the ongoing goals of better work lives for clinicians, a much better experience for patients (with greater access), and lower care costs. CEO and Co-founder Jasen Gundersen MD, MBA joined us for our latest Zoom conversation, and shares how DeepScribe is part of the CardioOne plan. Here, he talks about two key elements of the business: 👉 How DeepScribe #ambientAI data helps fuel value-based care initiatives 👉 How CardioOne physicians are responding to using DeepScribe for documentation Watch this clip to hear from Dr. Gundersen and let us know your thoughts. #cardiology #ambientAI #AIdocumentation #valuebasedcare #hearthealth

"Are they willing to really invest the time to go provider to provider and implement these solutions?" That's a question posed by our CEO and Co-founder Matthew Ko during a panel discussion with leaders from across the ambient AI category, at the 2024 KLAS Research Revenue Cycle Summit. In this case, "they" in Matt's question is any ambient AI vendor. The panel considered the role that revenue cycle leaders play in evaluating and selecting ambient speech technology, with key advice on what to look for from vendors. Some points from Matt: 💡 If you want to gauge the effectiveness of an ambient AI solution, check their clinician adoption rate at other organizations. 💡 A typical adoption will plateau at around 30-40%. One of the most important levers for widespread adoption is giving healthcare groups the ability to customize the model at the provider level. 💡 Understand the change management process an AI vendor has in place - and is willing to undertake - and their level of physician trust. KLAS communications writer Sharlin Bird breaks down the panel conversation and shares notable highlights in a recent blog post, check it out. What are your thoughts on change management within healthcare systems? Let us know in the comments below. #ambientAI #AIMedicalScribe #clinicianwellbeing #RCM #CEOs https://lnkd.in/gn8K9WiC
