Thank you to the Huntington Lakes community for inviting Brandon Coons, PT, DPT and Lucas Hendrick, PT, DPT from #pinecrestrehabilitationhospital to speak to their Tennis Club on the importance of stretching and warming up before exercising to maintain balance and prevent falls and other injuries. We received a wonderful message from the group after the presentation: "Today we were given a great talk about warming up and stretching as well as balance issues for seniors and tennis players by the two DPT’s you sent to us. Both Brandon and Lucas were excellent and the members of the club that attended the lecture were very impressed. The Q & A period after their talk was extremely helpful and informative. They both had all the answers to the questions and explained things in simple and easy to understand terms. At the end of the talk they talked to a few of our members and handed out towels which are perfect for the players to keep in their bags. This was a huge success. Two of our women players were stimulated enough to go right to the gym after our meeting. This past week we had the privilege of hosting a Celebration of Life ceremony for Candace "Candie" Kokaram, DNP, who worked for Delray Medical Center for over 21 years in Trauma Services. Candie impacted so many lives in her time at Delray. In recognition of her service to her colleagues, her patients and the community, the hospital hung a special plaque in the Lobby to honor her legacy.
