♻️🌳 How can we build a greener #Kosovo? Learn more about three programs that are paving the way for the country's green transition. 🤝We were honored to welcome some of the representatives of the 𝐀𝐝𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐂𝐨𝐦𝐦𝐢𝐬𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 on their visit to Kosovo, marking a significant exchange on local governance and development projects. Together with representatives from the 𝐄𝐦𝐛𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐳𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐊𝐨𝐬𝐨𝐯𝐨, 𝐇𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐬/𝐃𝐄𝐌𝐎𝐒 project organized a productive meeting with the Mayor of Obiliq/Obilić. The representatives of the Advisory Commission, had the opportunity to learn more about Obiliq/Obilić’s achievements, challenges, and plans. The visit also highlighted the positive impact of DEMOS in improving municipal performance and services to citizens. 𝐒𝐮𝐜𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐩𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐚𝐡𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐜 🌱 The municipality of #Rahovec/Orahovac is an exemplary model in waste management. Areas that once served as illegal waste dumps have now been cleaned, and ornamental trees have been planted to beautify the spaces. Additionally, the municipality has established a landfill for bulky waste, where the waste is processed and repurposed as donations to families in need. Both services have a direct impact on the health of citizens. Thus, Suhareka has shown good performance in the field of public services, one of the 16 areas by which municipal performance is measured.
