🎉 Excited to Share! 📚✨ #DiCiM project partner University of Ljubljana, has been published in a number of journals with a paper, 'Training artificial neural networks using substructuring techniques: Application to joint identification'. This paper explores a machine-learning-based approach to joint identification that utilizes a physics-based computational model of the joint. The proposed approach provides an accurate data-driven method for joint identification in real structures while reducing the number of measurements needed for the identification. 🔗 Find out more at: https://lnkd.in/eb7uBjzA

I had the honour to participate in the DiCiM Project‘s bi-annual General Assembly, that took place in our Lexmark Budapest office this week. While I had accompanied comms-wise another important EU-funded procect, C-SERVEES PROJECT, this was my first conference among these high-profile experts. I must say that I was deeply impressed by the granularity of the project and the deep knowledge of the project‘s experts and engineers. They are all part of something big and important: Driving the circular economy by using the power of digital solutions, such as IoT, ML and AI. This project is an EU-funded one, but it has global relevance. While it’s no small feat to take this project out of its current granularity and communicate it in such a way that it’s understandable to a broader public, I’m taking on this challenge! We at Lexmark can be proud to be part of this pioneering project as the exclusive print partner. And, btw, of another one, called CE-RISE Project. It‘s testimony to how far we have come with our own remanufacturing and circular economy model.♻️ Thank you to Maxime Furkel, Gyorgy Szemeredi, Janos Batyai and Levente Benei for inviting me and pulling me in😉💚

🔭Great things in the making! 🌟 ♻️Advancing the circular economy is one of Lexmark’s missions. For that, we’re teaming up – as the exclusive partner of the print industry - with other companies and stakeholders from all over Europe in two EU-funded projects, called DiCiM Project and CE-RISE Project.🇪🇺 This week, we were proud hosts to the DiCiM bi-annual General Assembly in our Lexmark Budapest office for an intense and engaging two-day power sessions. The project's quest is to accelerate circular economy business models by the power of digitization, such as: 💻 The Internet of Things (IoT) 🎰 Machine Learning (ML) 🤖 Artificial Intelligence (AI) 📈 Big Data 👓 Augmented Reality (AR) The ultimate goal is to create an Open Access Digital Platform (OADP), that will be open to a larger audience, such as OEMs, remanufacturers and users, facilitating the return, repair and remanufacturing of electronic goods. This will help save raw material. While this goal will present a major leap in terms of advancing the circular economy for companies and customers alike, many granular steps are required for this.👣The latter are being taken, during a four-year long period, by experts and engineers with a deep knowledge of their products and the digital solutions in question, working meticulously in the background.🔎 These kind of get-togethers allow them to have fruitful cross-border exchanges, assessing their progress, sharing best-practices, discussing challenges and leveraging synergies…💬 …all the while having some fun too and enjoying the rich history and beauty of European cities, such as Budapest.🏰🇭🇺 🙏Thank you, to all DiCiM members, for coming to Budapest, for your time, work and dedication, in particular to Farazee Asif from KTH Royal Institute of Technology for leading this project and for gently remindng everyone that it’s almost half-time to deliver results…. “No pressure”😉 🙏A special “thank you” goes to the Lexmark DiCiM/CE-RISE team, Maxime Furkel, Gyorgy Szemeredi, Janos Batyai and Levente Benei, for being such great hosts and organizing this General Assembly so well.
