🔭Great things in the making! 🌟 ♻️Advancing the circular economy is one of Lexmark’s missions. For that, we’re teaming up – as the exclusive partner of the print industry - with other companies and stakeholders from all over Europe in two EU-funded projects, called DiCiM Project and CE-RISE Project.🇪🇺 This week, we were proud hosts to the DiCiM bi-annual General Assembly in our Lexmark Budapest office for an intense and engaging two-day power sessions. The project's quest is to accelerate circular economy business models by the power of digitization, such as: 💻 The Internet of Things (IoT) 🎰 Machine Learning (ML) 🤖 Artificial Intelligence (AI) 📈 Big Data 👓 Augmented Reality (AR) The ultimate goal is to create an Open Access Digital Platform (OADP), that will be open to a larger audience, such as OEMs, remanufacturers and users, facilitating the return, repair and remanufacturing of electronic goods. This will help save raw material. #Hackathon at Signifikant Earlier this month, our fantastic developers took some time off from their regular programming to ideate and build new solutions. The goal of this activity was (as Sviatoslav Siurin said) to foster creativity, rapid problem-solving, and teamwork in a fun and productive environment. The ideas worked on centred around better set up of VPN to access remote machines, installation of software on Docker Containers, improved logging systems, and Local LLM-powered development. We were honored to welcome the Counsel General of Sweden, Sven Östberg and Sweden in Mumbai to our office in India yesterday. We had very fruitful discussions focused on collaboration and expanding our ties in India. With a shared commitment to innovation, we are keen to help Indian manufacturers digitize their aftermarket offerings, enhancing efficiency and customer experience. Meet our Interns, Yanays Rodriguez Puentes and Lucja Zawiasa from IT-Högskolan, Stockholm. Their focus will be to build a new web based application while also improving the UX for certain existing apps within the Signifikant Aftermarket Portal. Yanays : I hold a degree in Nuclear Physics and a Master’s in Neuroscience, where I gained research experience. After moving to Sweden, I shifted my focus to technology and started my studies in .NET development at IT-Högskolan. I'm currently interning at Signifikant Svenska AB, where I’m grateful for the supportive environment and the opportunity to learn and grow. In my spare time, I enjoy solving puzzles like sudoku and crosswords, and catching up with friends. I’m excited to continue expanding my skills and contributing to the tech industry. Lucja: I’m currently studying to become a .NET Developer at IT-Högskolan. Although I’ve only been in the programming world for about two years, I quickly fell in love with creating websites and applications that people can actually use. The potential of what can be accomplished with code fascinates me and continues to drive my passion for development. Despite being relatively new to the field, I’ve already made considerable progress in my skills and understanding. At Signifikant, I’m excited to further develop my expertise and contribute to real-world projects.

In today’s rapidly evolving industrial landscape, the concept of a circular economy is gaining traction as a sustainable alternative to the traditional linear model of “take, make, dispose.” The DiCiM Project is at the forefront of this movement, aiming to demonstrate a set of integrated digital solutions that support different actors in the industrial value chain to carry out value recovery activities. One of the key innovations in this project is the Open Access Digital Platform (OADP) for reverse lifecycle information management, and Signifikant is proud to play a pivotal role in its development.
