Binticare Foundation ended the year on a high note with a two-day impactful visit to Kitelakapel, West Pokot County, Kenya. The engagement was a blend of education, empowerment, and community bonding. We conducted women-centered talks focusing on empowerment, education, and Menstrual Health Management, providing a platform for learning and dialogue. We also engaged with the children and men in the community through talks. Essential distributions followed, including reusable sanitary pads, soap and oil (Binti Dignity kit) bags and other valuable items to support women and girls in the community. The shared meals brought everyone together, fostering unity and connection. As night fell, we hosted a vibrant film screening under the stars, creating a moment of joy and togetherness for all. Throughout the visit, we emphasized a culture of learning and active community involvement, leaving a lasting impact. We are deeply grateful to the Kitelakapel community for their warmth and participation, as we continue to strive toward building empowered, resilient, and informed communities. #CommunityEngagement #WomenEmpowerment #MenstrualHealth #BinticareImpact #EndYearImpact Women Empowerment Organization (WEO) Women’s Empowerment Principles (WEPs) Donya Justice Network Kenya USPAACC WISE (Women Initiative for Strategic Empowerment) UNESCO NGO Awards Ngo Award NGO

Accountability is the cornerstone of progress in addressing Gender-Based Violence (GBV). On Day 15 of our 16 Days of Activism, we emphasize the importance of monitoring efforts and using data to track impact. By hosting town hall meetings, sharing progress reports, and highlighting survivor-centered frameworks, we can close gaps and build effective interventions that protect vulnerable groups, including elderly women. Together, let’s ensure transparency, justice, and dignity for all. Every action counts toward a safer and more inclusive society. #16DaysOfActivism #GBVPrevention #AccountabilityMatters #DignityForAll #JusticeForSurvivors #GenderEquality #EndGBV #DataForChange #CommunityEngagement #ElderlyRights #DonyaJusticeNetworkKenya #intersexkenyaeducationandsdvocacy

Day 14: Faith and GBV Theme: Religious Leaders as Advocates Religious leaders play a pivotal role in shaping values within communities, and their influence is instrumental in the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV). Their platforms offer an opportunity to challenge harmful norms, promote respect for human dignity, and advocate for justice and equality, particularly for vulnerable groups such as elderly women. Elderly women often experience hidden forms of GBV, including physical, emotional, and financial abuse, which can go unnoticed due to societal stigmas and the power dynamics at play. It is crucial that religious leaders speak out against such abuses, create awareness, and provide a support system for survivors. Interfaith dialogues that address GBV can encourage collaboration among diverse religious groups, allowing for a more holistic approach to tackling violence in all its forms. By leveraging the moral authority of faith leaders, we can establish a foundation of care, compassion, and equality in communities, ensuring that elderly women and other vulnerable individuals are not left behind in the fight for justice and dignity. This collaborative effort can foster an environment where GBV is actively denounced, and survivors are given the necessary tools for recovery and empowerment. Faith-based organizations are in a unique position to influence societal attitudes and drive positive change, providing a powerful avenue for spreading awareness and protecting the rights of all, especially the elderly, within their congregations. Together, through faith and advocacy, we can create a world where dignity and justice are upheld for all, regardless of age or gender. #ReligiousLeadersAgainstGBV #FaithInAction #EndGBV #SupportElderlyWomen #FaithForJustice #CommunityLeadership #GBVPrevention #BreakTheSilence #16DaysOfActivism #DonyaJusticeNetworkKenya

Day 13: GBV and Climate Change The link between climate change and gender-based violence (GBV) is undeniable, especially for the elderly and women who are disproportionately affected. Climate-related disasters displace communities, disrupt livelihoods, and often lead to unsafe environments, heightening the risks of GBV. In these challenging times, it is crucial to: Advocate for inclusive climate policies that address the unique vulnerabilities of women and elderly individuals. Collaborate with environmental organizations to create safer, sustainable, and resilient communities. Raise awareness about the intersection of climate-induced displacement and GBV, emphasizing prevention and protection measures. We are committed to creating safer spaces for all through education, community action, and advocacy. Together, we can champion environmental justice while ensuring that no one regardless of age or gender is left behind in the fight against GBV. #EnvironmentalJustice #GBVandClimateChange #donyajusticenetworkkenya #ClimateActionNow #EndGBV #SustainableFuture #GenderEquality #HumanRights #SafeCommunities #EmpowerChange #ClimateJustice #ProtectTheVulnerable #InclusiveAction #intersexkenyaeducationandsdvocacy
