Online Sales Specialists - Planning for the year ahead and looking for a little inspiration? Take a peek below.. As an online sales specialist, what you do matters—big time. Sure, the numbers and data might tell part of the story, but there's so much more to it. What truly sets you apart is the human connection you create. Every day, you invest your energy, empathy, and guidance into not just your customers but also the lives of your onsite agents. You have the power to touch so many lives and impact so many people in this role. The “on” mentality that sometimes comes with our role requires a lot of energy on our part which is why it is so important to make sure we are our best selves for the people we influence and interact with in our lives. Insert goal setting - a great thing to do at the start of the year. Take a moment to reflect: were you your best self last year? If not, don’t just hit repeat. Spend time to uncover goals about what will make you a better you, make you the person you aspire to be. Use the smart approach, making sure your goals are specific, measurable, achievable, relevant, and time-based. Once you have your goals in mind, be sure to write them down and share them with someone for accountability. What you put out into the world is more likely to come to fruition. Also, ask yourself: are you busy with the right things? Meaning things that build you up, recharge you, energize you. Or are you stuck in patterns that wear you down and leave you feeling drained? Remember that saying yes to one thing often means saying no to something else. Spend time to reflect and identify what you are going to do to make this new year your best year yet.  Imagine the possibilities if you commit to your growth. What’s the best that could happen? Let’s find out!

Ever seen a buyer practically beg someone to let them buy a house? 🤯 My friend's wild home-buying journey involved ghosting by sales reps, plummeting prices, and a plot twist you won't believe... My friend tried to buy a new home from a national builder for several months - since the spec home was in framing. The builder sales rep never responded to their questions or offers. Over the next several months, the (sadly) predictable occured: - The price of the house dropped tens of thousands of dollars - My friend continued to get no engagement from the sales team in the community - The house neared completion - still unsold Here's how the story ends: - My friend hired a buyer's agent because they still wanted the house and were desperate for help - They found a sales rep in a different community who could cross-sell to complete the paperwork - The builder gave my friend everything he had been asking for the whole time, the price was further reduced, and the builder offered an extra concession for the buyer's agent expense Overheard by the sales manager and division president "this market is tougher than I thought it would be..." 🫣

The first episode of MPM in 2025 is one you can't miss 🚨 James Dwiggins joins me for a frank discussion about what - for many reasons - still seems to confuse both builders and agents about the NAR Settlement Agreement. There's no one better to speak on these topics because not only does he run a highly successful real estate franchise (NextHome, Inc), but he was also a named defendant in the lawsuit. 𝐒𝐩𝐨𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐫 𝐀𝐥𝐞𝐫𝐭: Most builders need to look closely in the mirror at their approach and change things up to truly become a better Realtor partner in 2025. Yes, you can still foster and improve your agent relationships - but you can't pretend that nothing has changed or you put yourself and the agents you want to help at risk.
