🇺🇸 Check out what we've found! 🦅 Swipe to see two timeless posters on the topic of immigration to the USA 👉 👉 Left: Americanization Day by an Unknown Artist, ca. 1917 (image c/o The Library of Congress). The story behind it: In the early 20th century, the United States experienced a significant influx of immigrants, primarily from Southern and Eastern Europe. This demographic shift led to concerns among some Americans about national unity and the integration of newcomers. In response, civic organizations and government bodies initiated the Americanization Movement, aiming to assimilate immigrants into American culture and values. A notable effort within this movement was the establishment of "Americanization Day" in 1915. Conceived as a complement to Independence Day on July 4th, Americanization Day sought to welcome foreign-born citizens and encourage their participation in American civic life. The day's motto, "Many Peoples—but One Nation," emphasized unity amid diversity. 👉 Right: YWCA by Charles Howard Walker, 1919 (image c/o The Museum of the City of New York). This one was designed as part of campaign to assist immigrant women in the United States, focusing on fostering unity among diverse communities and supporting women through social and professional integration programs. The poster advertises the work of the YWCA Division for Foreign Born Women, which provided job training, language classes, and acculturation services. Created during a period of large-scale immigration, it reflects broader Americanization initiatives aimed at helping immigrants adapt to their new environment while promoting loyalty and unity in a rapidly changing society. No matter the politics, one truth stands tall: America was, is and always will be a nation shaped by dreamers from every corner of the world. From the tech innovators of today to the pioneers of the past, talented immigrants have always been the heart of the U.S. story. Dream big. The U.S. welcomes you 🗽 #GlobalRelocation #USVisa #TalentVisa #EB1Visa #O1Visa #H1BVisa #EntrepreneurVisa #StartupVisa #DreamersWelcome #OpportunityAwaits

🤝 Finding Referees for Your O-1 / EB-1A Visa Recommendation Letters 📩 Obtaining both O-1 and EB-1A visas requires demonstrating extraordinary ability in your field. Strong recommendation letters are crucial for a successful application. Aim for 5-6 letters from respected professionals who can attest to your achievements and expertise. Quality matters more than quantity. A prominent expert's letter holds more weight than multiple letters from colleagues or clients. Here's how to find suitable referees: 1️⃣ Leverage Your Professional Network: Start with coworkers, employers, subordinates, and freelancers. Even competitors can be valuable if you've collaborated or competed 2️⃣ Review Your Contact List: Your phone contacts or business cards might hold hidden opportunities. Don't overlook past connections 3️⃣ Ask Colleagues for Referrals: If your direct network lacks ideal candidates, ask colleagues for introductions to influential figures. Consider former advisors, supervisors, or clients 4️⃣ Consider Critics and Partners: Professionals you've worked with, whether critics or collaborators, might have valuable connections. Their feedback can demonstrate the depth of your contributions 5️⃣ Utilize LinkedIn: Create a detailed LinkedIn profile highlighting your accomplishments. Consider upgrading to premium for expanded reach 6️⃣ Explore Google Scholar or Other Indexes: If your work has been cited, reach out to those who cited it. They are experts in their field and can provide strong recommendations 7️⃣ Leverage Trade Unions or Professional Associations: These organizations often have lists of prominent members who can provide letters of support Building Your List: — Identify Potential Referees: Compile a list with their names, positions, and contact details — Reach Out: Request a recommendation letter, explaining why their input is valuable and how it can strengthen your application 🧠 Remember: Many respected professionals are willing to support talented individuals. A strong recommendation letter can significantly enhance your O-1 / EB-1A visa application. #O1visa #EB1Avisa #H1BVisa #EntrepreneurVisa
