Today marks six years since we lost Drew. Not only was he a Green Beret and an amazing leader, but he was everyone’s friend—the kind of person who made you feel seen, heard, and valued. Though time has passed, Drew’s spirit remains as powerful as ever—in every story shared, every laugh echoed, and every act of kindness inspired by his legacy. We honor Drew not by dwelling on his loss, but by celebrating his life and the values he lived by: service, perseverance, faith, and love. His courage, compassion, and relentless drive to make the world better inspire us to continue his mission. Through the Drew Ross Memorial Foundation, we are committed to carrying forward his legacy by supporting military families, building strong communities, and helping others push beyond their limits—just as Drew always did. Honored to share the Richmond Magazine article about our woodworking program! United States Marine Corps spouse Sarah Geisen and US Army retires green beret Rod Rodrigues and I had an awesome conversation about how they are honoring Sarah’s brother (also a green beret) who was killed in action 2018 in Afghanistan through the Drew Ross Memorial Foundation. The raise money and conduct events to help other veteran-oriented nonprofits and are also raising money for a Global War on Terrorism Memorial to be build on the National Mall in Washington, DC.
