The main goal of @E3NextHealth is to have a transformational and lasting effect on health within the #Black community. This past fall, our CEO, Anthonise Louis Fields Ph.D, accomplished this by offering her expertise at Enon Tabernacle Baptist Church’s yearly “Women Know Your Numbers Event” where she was a panelist speaker. The all-day event was a resounding success, leaving women well informed about wellness and their bodies. It accomplished this by holding cancer and health screenings, keeping women accountable for their health in a loving and supportive environment. The event featured health-forward vendors, such as personal fitness trainers and maternity care centers. It was a day to celebrate the community, and provide a robust amount of resources. Women also had the opportunity to participate in numerous lectures and panels, such as the morning panel, “Cancer: No Longer A Death Sentence”, which featured Dr. Fields. Historically, the Black community has harbored a sense of mistrust towards medical professionals, due to how Black bodies were mistreated and misused within medicine. However, this panel aimed to restore this narrative, reaffirming the need for community support and encouragement throughout the process. The afternoon panel, “Trauma's Impact on the Community and Individual”, was centered around the mental health of black women. Black women are often expected to stay strong and comfort others during traumatic events, and disregard their own emotions. This panel emphasized the importance of healing and acknowledging emotions that are rooted in trauma. Overall, the Women’s Know Your Number Event was a very rewarding experience, and succeeded in encouraging women to take care of their minds and bodies. #Blackwomen #MentalHealth #EnonChurch #Community #Health #BlackHealth #Healthequity

Last night, our CEO, Anthonise Louis Fields Ph.D had the pleasure of attending the kickoff of a 22-city rollout of a National Coalition of Negro Women's Good Health Wins initiative at City Hall. This initiative aims to boost immunization in Philadelphia and address a problem that might seem insignificant but is actually quite serious. Vaccination is our strongest defense against some chronic and critical disease, and the alarming trend away from it will negatively impact future generations and our senior populations. Stay tuned! #vaccination, #GoodHealthWins #HealthEquity#GoodHealthWINs #NCNW #TheLinksIncorporated #ImmunizationMatters #VaccinationAwareness #CommunityHealth #PublicHealth #HealthyCommunities #VaccinesWork #HealthInitiative

#Excerpt: “Very few African American women have been included in the research that underpins a lot of the treatment, the medicines," Fields said. She's working with the American Cancer Society to change that and recruiting Black women for a historic new study. "We need to supplement the data with focused study on Black women," Fields said. "So we can understand the full spectrum of what are the factors and the combination of factors that actually causes cancer." The study, called Voices of Black Women, will include 100,000 healthy Black women to understand why their cancer survival rates are so low.” Beyond proud of the work that my dear friend Anthonise Louis Fields Ph.D, CEO of E3 NexHealth is doing! Heavy is the head that wears the crown. However, she wears it well as she is striving to reduce the death rate due to cancer in Black women!
