Last night, our CEO, Anthonise Louis Fields Ph.D had the pleasure of attending the kickoff of a 22-city rollout of a National Coalition of Negro Women's Good Health Wins initiative at City Hall. This initiative aims to boost immunization in Philadelphia and address a problem that might seem insignificant but is actually quite serious. Vaccination is our strongest defense against some chronic and critical disease, and the alarming trend away from it will negatively impact future generations and our senior populations. Stay tuned! #vaccination, #GoodHealthWins #HealthEquity#GoodHealthWINs #NCNW #TheLinksIncorporated #ImmunizationMatters #VaccinationAwareness #CommunityHealth #PublicHealth #HealthyCommunities #VaccinesWork #HealthInitiative

As we celebrate World Immunization week, the direct benefits of childhood vaccination in reducing the burden of disease morbidity and mortality in a cost-effective manner are well-established. By preventing episodes of vaccine-preventable diseases, vaccination can also help avert associated out-of-pocket medical expenses, healthcare provider costs, and losses in wages of patients and caregivers. To this end we encourage government at all levels to increase and double their commitment on immunization financing. #immunization #vaccinination #unicef

According to the World Health Organization's recent study, immunization efforts have saved close to 154 million lives over the past 50 years. As #WorldImmunizationWeek wraps up, it's a powerful reminder of what's #humanlypossible. But our work doesn't end here – last fall, the Task Force launched a Childhood Vaccination Subgroup, bringing together dedicated individuals from across different organizations and countries. Together, we're working to accelerate high coverage of the most lifesaving childhood vaccines, especially in countries off-track to achieve #SDG 3.2. If you also work in this space, please join us!
