Last week, EasyPro held its Stakeholder Kick-off Meeting. This is a vital milestone that will ensure the success of the project and its goal to make Irish universities energy efficient. Our stakeholders are the individuals outside the project consortium that will review EasyPro’s results, offer feedback and share insights in order to maximise the project’s impact. Stakeholders who attended this meeting included: Veolia, Centrica, Solas Capital AG, EFIEES - European Federation of Intelligent Energy Efficiency Services, PowerTherm Solutions, Joule Assets and Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI)

I shot this video for the EasyPro project and Becky Holdstock, who works on the project with me at Carr Communications, edited the video and made it look fabulous! Ireland is currently facing over 8 billion Euro in fines up to 2030 for exceeding its carbon budget. The EasyPro project responds to this challenge by making Irish universities and public bodies carbon neutral, aligning with the Irish Government’s Climate Action Plan to achieve a 50% improvement in energy efficiency by 2030. Welcome to EasyPro, an EU-funded project! I’m excited to embark on this project with Carr Communications, who are leading the ‘Communication and Dissemination Activities’ work package. #EasyPro is dedicated to helping public bodies enhance their long-term energy efficiency. Using Irish universities as case studies, the project aligns closely with the Irish Government’s Climate Action Plan. This plan sets an ambitious goal for all public sector bodies, including higher education institutions, to achieve a 50% improvement in energy efficiency by 2030. In our first project video, edited by me, our project coordinator highlights the significance of this initiative and its benefits for Irish universities.
