We ask you to join us and actualize our vision for a better future—a future where poverty is reduced, nature is preserved, and the planet thrives. When people come together to work towards a shared vision for a sustainable and equitable future, everyone benefits. We are all stakeholders in the well-being of our respective landscapes, but we are also stakeholders at the global level in the well-being of our planet. Integrated landscape management is an increasingly popular approach to addressing our planet’s land use, climate change, food security, and water access challenges. But how can we explain the concept to newcomers? This animated explainer captures the core elements of what ILM looks like in practice. #sustainability #ilm #holisticlanduse #landscape #collaboration #ecoagriculture

Forest Leaders for Integrated Landscape Management: An origin story. In 2024, with the support of the International Model Forest Network and Natural Resources Canada (NRCan), we began our ambitious three-year collaboration with Red Latinoamericana de Bosques Modelo to equip local landscape leaders across Latin and South America with tools, training, and resources on integrated landscape management. Over the last year, participants have developed new essential skills for effective #ILMleadership, including collaboration, strategic and financial planning, building landscape partnerships, advocacy, and more with support from learning modules developed in partnership with 1000 Landscapes For 1 Billion People. This video captures the inauguration of this inspiring program. We can't wait to see what this year has in store for these local leaders. Stay tuned! #ILM #landscapePartnerships #bosquemodelo
