EcoEnterprises Fund reposted this
💥These are the TOP 50 most active funds and institutional investors in Latin America's broad food🍲 and agriculture🌾investment space! 🔎There is a combination of local and regional focus, strategies ranging from early stage through growth equity to buyouts and ag real assets, spanning the entire value chain. Most notably, as we enter 2025, the regional investment space will be in flux as older funds look to exit existing portfolios while new funds and investors deploy new capital. This context has become complex amid more volatile commodity prices, expensive financing, extreme climate, and uncertainty on global trade⚠️. 💡If anything, 2025 will bring opportunities in the Latin American food and agriculture sector for those who are patient and able to navigate the different cycles we face📈. At Valoral Advisors, we actively advise on various deals and are always glad to exchange ideas and insights with people interested in our sector. Thank you! #Latam #NaturalCapital #RealAssets #Agriculture #Farmland #Food #Nutrition #AgriFoodTech

To harness the power of the private sector as a catalyst for positive change—driving both profitability and, more importantly, lasting social and environmental impact—we need visionary entrepreneurs and a robust ecosystem of financial partners committed to supporting their growth. At EcoEnterprises Fund, we are proud to approach the 10-year milestone of our partnership with FLP, an exemplary impact business that promotes sustainable agriculture and long-term collaboration with small growers in Colombia, Peru, and Ecuador. And we are excited that FLP has secured additional investment from another strong impact partner, responsAbility Investments AG. We look forward to joining forces to continue supporting FLP’s mission and expanding its positive impact! #impactinvesting #naturalclimatesolutions #sustainablefoodsystems #flpglobal #flpcolombia #flpperu #EcoenterprisesFund

We are beyond excited to share the news that Heading for Change's Trustees have approved five new investments, all focused on emerging markets. These investments mark a significant step forward in creating a global demonstration portfolio that is well diversified across climate themes, regions and areas of climate impact. Our Head of Investments Natalie Klatt describes the five new additions to the HfC portfolio as "demonstrating not only the breadth, depth and quality of the gender-smart climate opportunity set in emerging markets from an investment perspective, but also the importance of investing in diverse, place based solutions that tackle the most pressing climate challenges." Over the coming months, we’ll be sharing more about each of these new funds and the incredible people driving them forward. For now, we’re excited to give you a glimpse into each one: 🔆 KawiSafi Ventures Fund II (Sub-Sahran Africa; Climate Tech) - a fund specialised in the green energy transition and decarbonization strategies in Sub-Saharan Africa with the aim of positively impacting the livelihoods of 100M people and offsetting 100M tonnes of CO2e. 🌎 EcoEnterprises Fund IV, LP (LATAM; Nature-based solutions) - a US$150 million women-led growth capital fund investing in nature-based solutions to conserve critical natural ecosystems in Latin America and the Caribbean. ♻️ Circulate Capital Ocean Fund LAC (LATAM; Ocean and Plastic Pollution) - an inaugural US$100 million fund dedicated to fighting plastic pollution and advancing the circular economy in Latin America & the Caribbean. HfC co-invested in the Circulate Capital Ocean Fund LAC, with the Sea Forward Fund, a collaborative multi-donor fund making impact investments and grants to sustain and restore ocean health. 🌾 Acumen Climate Action Pakistan Fund (Pakistan; Agriculture) - Pakistan’s first climate-focused fund and largest single-sector fund launched to-date that invests across the agribusiness value chain, driving climate adaptation and resilience in one of the most critically climate vulnerable countries in the world. 🌱 The Catalyst Fund (Africa; Climate Tech) - a women-led venture capital fund and accelerator backing early-stage, high impact tech startups building solutions to manage climate risks, adapt livelihoods and build a climate-resilient future in Africa.
