🎉 Congratulations to Shirley Ivey, the recipient of ECVC’s Endowed Scholarship for the 2024-2025 academic year at Pitt Community College! The ECVC Endowed Scholarship, established in September 2024, supports PCC students with disabilities as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act. Shirley’s story is one of resilience and dedication. As a caretaker for her mentally impaired sister, she finds joy and meaning in the challenges and rewards of this role. Despite facing her own vision impairment, Shirley shares: "My experiences have taught me the importance of perseverance and the strength that comes from facing adversity head-on."
