💰SBA GRANT OPPORTUNITY!💰 The application window for the U.S. Small Business Administration Growth Accelerator Fund Competition is now open through January 31. This year's competition offers $75,000 to $150,000 in awards to organizations to accelerate the growth and maturity of innovation ecosystems in two stages: 1️⃣ The Stage One application offers $75,000 in cash prizes to organizations that identify challenges within their innovation ecosystems and propose unique solutions. 2️⃣ Eligible Stage One winners can compete for additional $150,000 Stage Two awards to scale their proposed solutions. New year, new #PIDAloan rates! Fifteen years later, EDC Finance Corporation is excited to help Seven Trees continue its growth as it looks to transition from lessee to owner of its current location in Earl Township. The $975,000 PIDA loan announced today will be used to purchase a 3.8-acre parcel of land, which includes a 28,300-square-foot industrial building, 12,000 square feet of warehouse space, and 3,500 square feet of office space. Last week, the EDC Finance Corporation joined the Lancaster City Alliance and Lancaster CRIZ Authority in welcoming Denim Coffee to downtown Lancaster. The ribbon-cutting event was held at Denim Coffee's new West King Street cafe – the specialty coffee roaster's 6th Central PA location – and included the presentation of $125,000 in funding from the CRIZ Small Business Financial Assistance Program. In partnership with the Lancaster City Alliance, #EDCFinance provides underwriting services for the CRIZ Small Business Financial Assistance Loan Program – a $5 million revolving loan fund for eligible businesses that area located within the Lancaster City Revitalization & Improvement Zone (CRIZ) area. It was all treat and no trick for attendees at last week's "First Steps: Insights from the Experts" event, presented by Kutztown University Small Business Development Center and held at The Candy Factory on 10/31. The event aimed to provide individuals at the start-up phase with tools and resources to help navigate some of the more complex financial and legal considerations for starting a business.
