There's nothing quite like squeezing in a #lowinterest loan approval before the end of the year. Here's congratulating Seven Trees Woodworking on today's #PIDA loan approval! Since 2009, Seven Trees Woodworking has earned a name for itself thanks to its high-quality custom doors, cabinetry, and furniture. Fifteen years later, EDC Finance Corporation is excited to help Seven Trees continue its growth as it looks to transition from lessee to owner of its current location in Earl Township. The $975,000 PIDA loan announced today will be used to purchase a 3.8-acre parcel of land, which includes a 28,300-square-foot industrial building, 12,000 square feet of warehouse space, and 3,500 square feet of office space. The total project cost is $2 million, and the company expects to create four new jobs and retain 19 full-time jobs within the next 3 years. #EDCLancaster #EDCFinance #SevenTreesWoodworking #BusinessLending #LancasterPA

It was all treat and no trick for attendees at last week's "First Steps: Insights from the Experts" event, presented by Kutztown University Small Business Development Center and held at The Candy Factory on 10/31. The event aimed to provide individuals at the start-up phase with tools and resources to help navigate some of the more complex financial and legal considerations for starting a business. EDC Finance Corporation vice president Jessica Hamilton was among the featured panelists and shared information on some of EDCF's lending tools, including the State Small Business Credit Initiative (SSBCI), which offers financing from $50k-$250k for small businesses (<500 employees); very small businesses (<10 employees); and woman-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses. 🤔 Want to learn more about SSBCI loans? EDC Finance Corporation is proud to partner with Lancaster City Alliance as underwriter for the CRIZ Small Business Financial Assistance Loan Program – a $5 million revolving loan fund for eligible businesses in the Lancaster City Revitalization & Improvement Zone (CRIZ) area. With lending up to $100,000 available, CRIZ loans are an impactful lending tool for local small businesses like restaurants or retailers to cover the costs of physical improvements to their existing space, to help offset the cost of purchasing a new space, or to acquire new equipment/furnishings. In 2022 and 2023, EDC Finance helped approve nine Lancaster City businesses for $816,000 in funding for projects totaling $4.16mm! #EDCLancaster #EDCFinance #SmallBusinessLoans #CRIZ #LancasterPA
We're getting a look at how the City Revitalization and Improvement Zone program, known as CRIZ, is making a difference in Lancaster. Reading, PA applied for the state program earlier this year. The program uses tax money generated from within designated zones to go back into developing that area. Only a handful of communities are in the program. Officials in Lancaster say it has helped them greatly improve the city. "To date since our program was created, we've been able to generate nearly $72 million in state and local CRIZ revenues through this program which have supported many, many millions of dollars of investment," says Jeremy Young, Acting Managing Director of Lancaster CRIZ Authority. The city of Lancaster has had designated CRIZ zones since 2013. "There's been an immense amount of redevelopment activity that's occurred over the last decade and a lot of that has been attributed to the CRIZ district," says Marshall Snively, Acting Executive Director of Lancaster CRIZ Authority. WATCH the full video at the link below.
