National Seed Swap Day is Saturday! Join us in 10 communities across the U.S. (find events here: https://bit.ly/40Mwhzd) alongside Seed Savers Exchange as we celebrate a day to gather and plan for spring sprouts and fall bounties! What is a seed swap?  It is a great opportunity for gardeners to explore new plants, save money on seeds, support biodiversity, and encourage heirloom cultivation. You can bring your own seeds to swap, but most (including our events!) will have seeds available to take home even if you don’t have any of your own. Attending a seed swap can help you get a head start on spring garden planning.

Seed Savers Exchange is celebrating its 50th anniversary in 2025! To mark the milestone, we partnered with Edible Communities to host seed swaps at 10 sites across the United States on #NationalSeedSwapDay, held on Saturday, January 25, 2025. We hope to connect local seed enthusiasts in person to build community around the open sharing of open-pollinated seeds, one of our core values since our founding.
