THIS is why we love to create unscripted, interview-based videos. SCHENCK USA CORP. is the world leader in balancing machines, and in the video Grace (a Mechanical Design Engineer there) says, "If I'm on an airplane and the engine is balanced by a SCHENCK machine, I feel confident. We're that good." You can tell instantly that this is a real sound bite from a real person, who believes in her product literally with her life. Getting to film inside of their US headquarters was a real treat, while meeting the minds -- and the hands! -- who make the best balancing machines in the business. How do you show and explain how the manufacture of a product is lightyears ahead of competitors... without actually showing or explaining (in too much detail) how it's done? That's the challenge we recently undertook with CThru Metals, who have devised a breakthrough way of creating expanded metal. We had some pretty sweet drone shots of the impressive facility interior, but after reviewing we had to remove them since it showed too much of the "secret sauce" of how they achieve their results. Seriously, this stuff is top secret! They're also one of the few companies in the world who has passed testing to provide lightening strike protection for aircraft. They were even able to get us the actual test footage for use in the video (right at the 1:18 mark). If you're in the plastics industry, you know all about the National Plastics Exposition (NPE) that's held every 3 years in Orlando, Florida. As has been the case going back to the 2012 show, we were all over the convention center, filming a TON of content for our clients (while meeting up with other clients/friends who were attending!).
