Last week, from 18 to 20 November 2024, IUSDRP directors Amanda Lange Salvia and João Eustachio participated in the International Student Symposium on the SDGs and the Research-in-Progress Workshop, hosted by one of IUSDRP’s esteemed members, University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika. The event was part of the inter-institutional project, “The Digital Introduction of the Sustainable Development Goals into Higher Education Teaching – Regional Aspects in Implementing the SDGs from Brazil and South Africa”. It was organised by the Department of Geography at the University of South Africa/Universiteit van Suid-Afrika in collaboration with project partners from Hamburg University of Applied Sciences and Universidade de Passo Fundo. The symposium provided a platform for undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral students to showcase the results of their research projects related to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
