Did you know the Massachusetts Environmental Trust (MET) was the first philanthropic organization in the state to partner with the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles, creating this original specialty whale tail license plate 30 years ago? Last week, the Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs released the 2024 End of Year Report highlighting key milestones and accomplishments. The Nature Conservancy in Massachusetts congratulates the Healey-Driscoll Administration for creating and successfully implementing this innovative and forward-looking forest reserve grant program. Protecting these forest reserves will return older forests to the MA landscape, a huge win for biodiversity and a critical climate solution. These forested landscapes will benefit people and communities across the state, providing clean drinking water, clean air, wildlife habitat, recreational opportunity and health and well-being.
