  • Don't know what to say in your English meetings at work? Here are 7 fixed phrases to help you: 1. Can you hear me ok? A simple phrase to use at the start of the meeting. Native speakers normally use “can” instead of “do” for this question. ↳ Hello! Can you hear me ok? 2. Sure! / Absolutely!  Use these phrases before you start answering someone’s question. This will make you sound polite and fluent. ↳ - Can you tell me more about the client demo? - Sure! I will share the details with you soon 3. I’m having trouble with my [something] Use this phrase whenever you’re experiencing technical difficulty with something. ↳ I’m having trouble with my mic. I’m going to go mute myself for a moment and try to work it out. 4. I’m not sure I got that A polite and friendly way of saying “I didn’t understand it”. ↳ - You’ve got the rest of the process covered, correct? - Sorry, I’m not sure I got that. Can you say that again? 5. I didn’t catch that  A polite way to say you didn’t hear something properly. ↳ Sorry, I didn’t catch that. Could you repeat the last part? 6. Go ahead A friendly phrase for when you’ve interrupted someone and want them to continue. ↳ Sorry, I cut you off. Please, go ahead. 7. That works for me  “I’m ok with this”, “I like your suggestion”. Do not say “It’s okay for me” because this phrase does not sound very professional. ↳ - Should we schedule a call for 3 pm tomorrow? - Sure! That works for me.
