We get asked, "what markets have you worked in?" With our collective experience, both past and present, Ensemblex is working toward total world domination 😜 (Anybody have any connections to fintechs in Australia 🦘 or Antarctica 🐧 ?) Even though countries have different regulations and rules, lending money smartly is a universal objective. We can help you achieve your goals. #SmartLending #WorldwideExpertise #CreditRisk

We agree 💯 with Laura Mahalel: - - "The 👉 point is that the potential of AI tools in high stakes decision making <in banking> is barely being tapped. 👈 " Thanks for talking more about a topic that Chloe Zhu, CFA and all of us at Ensemblex are passionate about.
You're using AI... but are you using it in high stakes decisions? I had the pleasure of attending a talk by Chloe Zhu, CFA at a vibrant Mindstone meetup last week. "What % of banks do you think are using AI?" she challenged the audience. "0%!" "100%" were the shouted responses. Huge range. No clue. Uncomfortable laughs. "64%" she said. To the audience of AI enthusiasts, myself included, that number seems shockingly low. But the real shocker was the next number Chloe shared: 32%. That, she claimed, is the percentage of banks using AI to inform what she calls "high stakes" decisions, such as who gets a loan. For lower stakes problems, like customer support (hello bots!) or after the fact fraud detection, the number is application of AI solutions is more common (~64%). I'm not sure I remember the percentages correctly or what her sources are, but that's not the point. The 👉 point is that the potential of AI tools in high stakes decision making is barely being tapped. 👈 Ms. Zhu acknowledges legitimate reasons why banks are trepidatious: regulatory challenges (which she seems to be well-versed in), potential for inaccuracy, and so on. She goes on to offer clear elegant, practical advice about how to move beyond 😨 fear to action 🚀. Rules such as "Use common sense" and "Instructions should be clear" are like powerful machetes cutting through the thick jungle of confusion, tangled, overly complex models. "Work with regulators," she recommends, citing examples of companies that sped approvals by establishing good relations with regulators - early. If you're running a bank and want to learn more, talk to Chloe Zhu, CFA. If you're not running a bank but eager to start applying good sense principles to leveraging AI in other areas of your life and work, schedule time with me! #banking #ai #fintech #models #fear #decisionmaking #meetup
