The European Bioinformatics Community for Mass Spectrometry (EuBIC-MS) is an initiative for mass spectrometry (MS) related bioinformatics. Its aim is to improve bioinformatics for MS-based omics research through the setup of community-driven initiatives improving the collaboration, funding, publication, and training activities.

The Core For Life Challenge Project Award 2024 was granted to the proteomics core facilities of Functional Genomics Center Zurich, VIB and Institut Pasteur, in close collaboration with the Centre for Genomic Regulation (CRG), EMBL, Research Institute of Molecular Pathology (IMP) and Institut Curie. Evaluation of software analysis workflows is essential to establish trust in the data analysis. ProteoBench is a EuBIC community-driven centralized web platform for developers and end-users to compare proteomics data analysis pipelines with a fixed dataset (https://lnkd.in/eqbPW2uu). Within this project, we aim at improving and elevating the alignment of our C4L bioinformatics workflows through the ProteoBench tool and strengthen our links with the EuBIC-MS community.
ProteoBench is an open and collaborative platform developed by EuBIC-MS (eubic-ms.org) to allow a continuous, easy, and controlled comparison of proteomics data analysis workflows. This community-curated effort is open to all. It will allow for an easy and controlled comparison of tools developed or used by the participants to other state-of-the-art pipelines for specific applications. This webinar is an introduction to ProteoBench. We will describe the platform, how to use it, and how to contribute. We are looking forwards to seeing you there, and answer all your questions.
