The EUreka3D project partner UNESCO Chair on Digital Cultural Heritage at Cyprus University of Technology Digital Heritage Research Lab has successfully #3D digitised the record of the 14th-century Church of Timios Stavros (Holy Cross) in Cyprus, inscribed as a #UNESCO World Heritage Site, as part of the EUreka3D project. I get fuzzy warm feelings looking back on the European Heritage Hub Forum event in Bucharest last week, it was a blast to be your Master of Ceremonies for the day and welcome everyone in the lovely Royal Palace of Bucharest to talk about #ethics in #AI and #green #sustainability for #digitalheritage 😍 A huge thank you to our friends at Europa Nostra for supporting the event, and to all of the amazing speakers and panelists! Having such inspiring and thought-provoking interventions made the job of moderating an absolute breeze 😎 I was particularly blown away by the interventions of Marco Fiore, Michael Peter Edson, Oonagh Murphy Paul Keller and Michelle Thorne. NEW #EUreka3D blog on Europeana! Discover how Museo della Carta di Pescia has become the keeper of paper-making heritage in Italy since the 13th century. 📜 In this publication you can explore the two 3D digitised paper moulds within the EUreka3D project, together with some of the modern art pieces and prints from Museo della Carta's collections. ➡ https://lnkd.in/drRhVZmJ 🌐 The paper moulds are a type of heritage almost unknown relating to the traditional paper manufacturing industry. Digitising watermarked moulds has been particularly challenging: this is the first time 3D models have been made of this type of heritage. These very fragile moulds are complex structures made of different materials: bronze, wood, and copper. They are now accessible on Europeana through the #EUreka3D project!
