  • One thing we hear often when talking to prospective customers is, "hey, look, if my email is already in the cloud and I'm already hosting it with Microsoft, Microsoft has backups, so I'm already backed up and I'm already protected.” They're not wrong if we're looking at short period of time. Various platforms have various short-term retention, usually included. Admins can go beyond your deleted objects and restore data. That said, this statement doesn't hold true when it comes to long term M365 data retention. Why M365 Backup? With M365 Backup, you can restore data quickly. The native Microsoft 365 retention policies are typically set for 30 days (give or take). For anything past that timeframe, it'll either get permanently deleted or moved into some form of an archive. One of our clients had a CEO that needed a file for a presentation they had in five minutes. Even though our client had deleted the file, because it was backed up with Evolve IP's unlimited M365 Veeam backup, they were able to sign into the website, authenticate their Microsoft account, find that document and restore it.   • We think about DaaS in terms of scalability only when we think about scaling our users/environments up or down, but we don’t really think about the ability to deploy fixes or changes ‘at-scale’ quickly and easily. Imagine you're an IT Admin who had to fix a couple hundred impacted client machines due to an outage. Getting to and repairing each of the machines would take time and some effort if you can’t remediate the issue remotely. Now imagine that instead of having to fix a couple hundred devices, you could fix/update one DaaS template and push that template to your users assignment so all they have to do is log in to be given a new desktop that has already been fixed.
