In this interview, I revisit some pivotal experiences that led me to where I am today. • You don't break habits. You create a new one and the old one becomes out of date. I know that breaking a habit can feel overwhelming. It's important to realize that creating a new habit can be empowering and transformative. When we create a new habit, we're not just trying to eliminate an old behavior - we're actively working towards a positive change. We're building a new routine that aligns with our goals and values, and that can be sustained over time. We also need to accept that habits don't disappear overnight. It takes time and effort to create a new habit and make it stick. We need to be patient with ourselves and celebrate small wins along the way. When we focus on creating new habits, we shift our attention from what we're giving up to what we're gaining. We can find joy and fulfillment in the process of building new routines, and we can create a life that's aligned with our aspirations and goals. The next time you're trying to break a habit, remember that you're not just trying to eliminate something from your life. You're creating a new path that will lead to greater happiness and success. What old habit have you outgrown? #Leadership #createlastingchange #womeninbusiness

  • Marshal Goldsmith's What Got You Here Won't Get You There is one of the best leadership books I've read. I'll be pulling out some good take-aways to share with you from time to time. "Life is a series of near misses. But a lot of what we ascribe to luck is not luck at all. It's seizing the day and accepting responsibility for your future." - Marshall Goldsmith Throughout our careers, we encounter opportunities that may seem like mere chance, but they often stem from our proactive efforts and mindset. Seizing the day means embracing each moment with purpose and determination. It's about recognizing opportunities, even when they're disguised as challenges, and then taking bold steps forward. Accepting responsibility for our future means acknowledging that our decisions shape our path and owning up to the consequences, whether positive or negative. By taking control of our lives, we empower ourselves to create the life we envision. Ultimately, it's up to us to make the most of life's opportunities. How do you seize the day? #SeizeTheDay #TakeResponsibility #PursueYourVision
