This Sunday, January 12, is National Pharmacist Day! Viewed as one of the most trustworthy professions in the country, you can find a pharmacist at myriad types of #HealthCare facility providing for those in their care. The role is critical to positive patient outcomes and lasting wellness. To make sure these vital experts can safely fulfill this calling, pharmacy facilities must be designed around the effective management, compounding, storage, and dispensing of medications. We do our part by making sure each section and chapter of the #FGICode is meticulously reviewed each cycle, calling in our Health Guidelines Revision Committee and roster of subject matter experts to consider the needs of pharmacists and others in the health care industry. To learn more about our input on pharmacy planning and design, check out the 2022 edition of the #FGICode. https://lnkd.in/euUVWzwM

The keystone to health care planning, design, and construction
About us
We’re an independent, not-for-profit organization dedicated to developing codes and guidance for health and residential care facilities. We publish the FGI Guidelines for Design and Construction documents, used for planning, design, and construction of hospitals, outpatient facilities, and residential care and support facilities. We lead this effort by funding a four-year revision process, supporting research, and offering technical resources. All of these drive the development of safe and effective care built environments. FGI partners with numerous other organizations to help develop practical, evidence-informed publications.

Working remotely doesn't mean we don't get to celebrate early with each other! We got together to have a treasureD hunt for our staff meeting and showed some of our favorite desk tchotchkes, handmade memories, and holiday decor. It was a barrel of laughs and joy--the reason for the season. Warmest wishes and happy holidays from the #FGI team.
