Field to Market: The Alliance for Sustainable Agriculture

Eric Coronel, Field to Market's Director of Science and Research, was invited to join an Outbound Mission to the UK and EU organized by The U.S. Sustainability Alliance . During the five-day program, Eric provided expertise on U.S. voluntary and incentive-based approaches to agricultural GHG emission quantification; methods for measuring, monitoring, reporting and verification (MMRV) of GHG emissions; public and private partnerships; and the USDA's Partnerships for Climate-Smart Commodities program.

Last week staff member Tessa Lightfoot attended the National Black Growers Council Annual Meeting in Charleston, SC. NBGC is a member of Field to Market and committed to improving the efficiency, productivity, and sustainability of Black row crop farmers in the U.S. This meeting provided an incredible opportunity to learn from, listen to, and converse with stakeholders working across the industry to support and advocate for Black growers. Last week, staff members Kelly Young and Lainey (Wolf) Stenberg attended the Intertribal Agriculture Council's Annual Conference in Las Vegas, NV. IAC, a Field to Market member and one of our partners on the Climate-Smart Agriculture Innovative Finance Initiative, promotes the conservation, development and use of agricultural resources for the betterment of the American Indian and Alaska Native producers they serve. Last week, Field to Market staff members Coralie Pierre,MBA,PMP and Jasmine Wibisono attended the Scope 3 conference hosted by the Innovation Forum. Through this event, they had a valuable opportunity to learn from industry leaders about what they are doing to tackle supply chain emissions within their organizations' value chains. By attending events like these, our staff is strengthening Field to Market's efforts to empower sustainable agriculture and help our members meet climate goals by combining the insights we gain with our own expertise.
