Fig 2 are diligently working on an interactive map panel for a history museum in Louisiana — the map will eventually have light-up push buttons that explain the rich history of Bossier Parish, but here is a design start. #InteractiveExhibits #MuseumDesign #bossierparish #EngagingEducation #Mapping

We are currently designing a logo and graphic identity for a brand named the "Gooey G.O.A.T", which sells a line of decadent brownies.... some may even call them 'greatest of all time' 😉 Here's a mock label on a real image of the brownies we sent to the client for review. It will be great to see these printed! #GreatestOfAllTime #BrownieLovers #DecadentDesserts #LogoDesign #GraphicIdentity #FoodBranding #LabelDesign #Mockup #SweetTreats #DessertDesign #FoodPackaging #ClientPreview

This is Cashmere here... for those who do not know me, I am the one who started Fig 2. I won't do a thorough introduction, here, on this post, because that's not why I am writing this. Suffice it say, I wear many hats, running this company, but first and foremost I am always a female artist. What does any of that mean, in today's world, to be a female artist? It means, frankly, I've had to show up louder and more frequently than many of my male peers to get the same seat at the table. It means I have to stand my ground on design decisions firmly, and prove, over and over again, that I am knowledgable and professional in design and art, despite my decade of experience in the art world. And I say this not to slight the other half, but to make it known that it is no easier today, in many ways, than it was 50, or 100 years ago to be a female expressing herself in any medium. This week, this image of me reflected in Anish Kapoor's Untitled artwork, seen here at the High Museum in Atlanta, is how I feel on the inside. A hopeful spirit, fragmented into many parts, married with a feeling of infinite arrangement and possibility. I've been here before — on the precipice of hope and chaos. Many artists have. What do we do, in a time where everything feels hopeless? The only thing we know how; we must keep making art. To all of my friends in this art world, keep showing up. Keep designing. Keep painting. Keep singing. Keep writing. Keep voicing your emotions and thoughts at this turbulent time. The landscape we live in is harsh and barren and it needs you to keep showing up. I am sad and I am confused and hurt that we are here, again, but I am also full of moxie and things to say, art to make, thoughts to bring to life. This is how I will make it through. And for anyone being told or made to feel that you are not good enough, that your voice does not matter, that you will never be anything in this world tilted against you — prove them wrong. Keep going. Until we live in a place where all of our voices are heard. Sending everyone love and art. We'll be back to our regularly scheduled programming next week.

What's even more fun than getting to do the design work we do is spotting our creations out in the wild, once we've set them free. The thrill is a bit like finding a shiny Pokémon in Pokémon Go, but with stylish fonts instead—and in this case, a sassy logo! Look for Baby Got Bundt at your local Kroger and other bakeshops near you. Baby's got fall flavors. #BrandDesign #ProductDesign #LogoDesign #FoodPackaging #ShopLocal

It's always an exciting print day when the labels have a bit of sparkle to them! We like to add matte graphic elements on metallic film to create a textured effect on an otherwise flat surface. We’re currently designing sleek metallic labels for brownie tubs, single-serve brownies, and candy-bar bites. These tasty treats will be hitting stores this fall! Keep an eye out at Kroger and Meijer if you're in the Midwest! Can't wait for you to see them on the shelves. #DesignInspiration #SweetTreats #PackagingDesign #Brownies #LabelDesign
