Fit4Micro Project reposted this
Presenting our work on cycle #humidification in #microgasturbines at a conference named #Carnot, in front of fellow thermodynamicists, felt like stepping onto the main stage at Werchter 🎤🎶. During my talk, I provided an overview of 15 years of research on this topic, explaining how #secondlaw analysis and #exergy balance have helped us identify the most effective methods for humidification, ultimately leading to optimal cycle efficiency 💡⚙️. In addition, we presented two posters showcasing our work at UMONS: 1. Fit4Micro Project: This work applies our methodology to a novel 10 kWe #microturbine developed by MITIS. We demonstrated an increase in electrical efficiency from 23.8% (mGT) to 25.9% (mHAT), resulting in an 8.3% reduction in fuel consumption 🌍🔥. 2. #Hydrogen for CO Emission Reduction: Our second study highlights how hydrogen can reduce CO emissions when Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) is applied for #CarbonCapture. Thanks to our newly modified 3 kWe Enertwin from Micro Turbine Technology (MTT), we can now test the impact of varying hydrogen levels under extended EGR conditions🧪🔬. What an inspiring experience! 🌟 And now, it’s time to enjoy the magic of Christmas 🎄✨. Wishing everyone a joyful and relaxing holiday season! ❄️🎁
