Interesting News in the business law world this morning: The United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas (a trial court) granted a preliminary injunction against the Corporate Transparency Act and issued a stay against the reporting deadline (which was December 31 of this year). While this decision will no doubt be appealed, it was made on some unique legal grounds that we haven't seen in other suits against the Corporate Transparency Act. This is merely a preliminary injunction though and the outcome of the suit at the trial court level and appeals on this preliminary injunction have yet to be seen.
