Kim oversees a powerhouse team of engineers, project managers, and supply chain professionals. With more than 30 years of industry leadership, Kim has been recognized as a Notable Woman in Technology and a Top 100 Diverse Leader in Energy. A proud Houston native, she holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Texas and a mechanical engineering degree from the University of Houston. We asked Randolph to weigh in on the industry and what excites her about her role at JERA Americas. Q: What do you enjoy the most about your work at JERA Americas? We believe we have the power to shape the success of the company, and we act accordingly.” Q: What’s one advancement in engineering that excites you? A: Machine learning and AI is a particularly exciting area. In renewable energy, by using machine learning algorithms, engineers can rapidly optimize solar farm performance by predicting optimal angle and orientation for solar panels based upon weather patterns, shading and environmental factors, maximizing energy capture during the day.” Q: What advice do you have to offer people who are thinking about engineering as a career? A: If you love innovation and problem solving, then engineering could be an exciting career for you. Think of an engineering degree as a dynamic GPS tool — versus a static road map — that will take you on an exciting career journey to a final destination of becoming the best version of yourself.” #JAM #JERA #Engineering #Leadership #WomenInSTEM #EnergyInnovation

JERA Americas is thrilled to welcome Tyler Falkenhagen as Chief Information Officer where he manages the information technology and digital teams that support our growing innovative businesses. The Information, Communications and Technology group drives business scalability and digitalization by implementing innovative technologies and optimizing information systems to enhance operational efficiency and support strategic growth. Tyler comes to us from Shell Energy Solutions where he served as Chief Information Officer and Chief Technology Officer and was instrumental in supporting initiatives across the energy value chain. He steered large-scale digital transformations, built a robust technology organization, and oversaw the technical integration associated with numerous acquisitions. Tyler earned a degree in electrical engineering from University of Texas, Austin but has worked primarily in technology. We asked Tyler a few questions about his professional journey. Q: What made you decide to study engineering? A: I've always been fascinated by how things work and the potential to solve complex problems. Engineering has allowed me to use critical and analytical thinking skills to make a tangible impact on the companies and customers I've had the pleasure of working with throughout my career. Q: What skills from your engineering background do you use for your work at JERA Americas? A: Strong problem-solving skills, a methodical approach to organizational management, and the ability to analyze and optimize systems, combined with a desire to understand how things work drives me to find ways to make us more efficient and effective. These skills are crucial in my role at JERA Americas, where I drive digital transformation and ensure our IT infrastructure supports our business goals. Q: How did you make the leap from engineering to technology? A: I view it as bridging two passions: my love for software engineering, which started in middle school, and my interest in creating or modifying electrical systems. I've been able to apply my skills across various industries. Continuously learning about new tech trends has helped me bridge the gap and excel in the technology sector. Q: What is something about engineering that might surprise people? A: Engineering requires a high level of organizational skills and logical design for success. It demands innovative thinking and creative problem solving to develop effective solutions that involve multiple iterations and a deep understanding of causation, often addressed through combinational logic work. #cio #chieftechnologyofficer #energyvaluechain #digitaltransformation #chiefinformationofficer #engineersatwork

We were pleased to see a few of our JERA Nex colleages Stateside last week and look forward to more collaboration in 2025!
Last week Alex Perkin and Hannah Day joined some of our JERA Americas colleagues on a visit to Happy, our 95MW solar farm in White County, Arkansas. 🦋 Alongside the infrastructure the project relies on to generate and distribute renewable energy like the solar arrays and substation in the photos below, the 880 acre site includes a habitat for monarch butterflies and other pollinators developed with the Arkansas Monarch Conservation Partnership. The project, which we acquired last year, delivers renewable energy to Conway Corp, the city-owned utility system. Find out more about our other projects and how we're delivering clean, sustainable energy to communities and corporate customers globally here: www.jeranex.com
