The only thing changing about our organization is the name. We decided to update our name to Foster Love as a way to put our mission forward. With the name Foster Love it is clear that we support foster youth, and we hope this shift will inspire more people to get involved. Foster Love is a 501(c)3 non-profit helping American youth in foster care through team building service-projects.
About us
Foster Love formerly Together We Rise is a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization comprised of motivated young adults and former foster youth. Our vision is to improve the lives of foster children in America, who often find themselves forgotten and neglected by the public. We collaborate with community partners to bring resources to foster youth and use service-learning and team building activities to educate corporate and individual volunteers on issues surrounding the foster care system. We work with hundreds of foster agencies, social workers, CASA advocates, and other partners to bring our programs to foster youth across the nation. Our foundation has allowed us to provide thousands of foster youth across the country with new bicycles, college supplies, and suitcases so that children do not have to travel from home to home with their belongings in a trash bag.

It all started last week when an agency contacted us about 40 teens displaced from their group homes by the LA fires. These teens lost everything and are now living in temporary hotels with little to call their own. We knew we had to act fast. We shared their story, and the outpouring of support from our community was incredible. Thousands of boxes filled with clothing, food, hygiene products, and comfort items started rolling in, providing relief to these teens who had been through so much. As we continue to receive more requests from agencies impacted by the fires, your generosity is helping us expand our efforts to support even more foster youth who need us right now.
