We spoke with Ashish Kothari about the #floweroftransformation, #intersections and the need for #humility in this work. This conversation is part of a series of generative interviews exploring inclusive and effective responses to planetary-scale problems. The full series is available on our blog. https://lnkd.in/e7Ui9zkz

💧🌿 #RightsofNature win! The Peruvian Court makes history by recognizing the rights of the Marañón River thanks to the tireless efforts of the Kukama indigenous women! (Español abajo) This ruling is a milestone in the fight for environmental protection and the rights of indigenous communities. The judge declared the river and its tributaries as subjects of rights, including the right to exist, flow, and remain free of contamination. This achievement not only protects the Marañón River, but establishes a vital precedent for the defense of other threatened bodies of water. Let's keep defending our rivers! 🌊✊ https://lnkd.in/dPrAzRnh

🌍I recently gave a talk at #ethdenver called "Regeneration as a Protocol : The Shape of DAOs to Come". It's now live! 🌍 In the talk I explore the intersection of 🐞 Rights of Nature, 🔑 Decentralized Protocols, and ♻ Emerging Earth Commons through grassroots pilots at Regen Foundation. I know I'm biased but I think its pretty cool. https://lnkd.in/ddfmyEv9

Strategic adviser, health and care | Innovation | Improvement | Mobilising | Large Scale Change. Views my own
"Large-scale problems do not require large scale solutions; they require small-scale solutions within a large scale framework" (David Fleming). This relationship between small & large-scale change is a fundamental issue for leaders of change. The Griffith Centre for Systems Innovation describes a maturing approach to address this: 1. Confetti: multiple, single, focussed projects which slice up the complex reality of people’s lives & are unlikely to create large-scale impact across a system. 2. Spaghetti: a coherence between projects all working towards the same goal that generates potential for multiplication & amplifications of impact. 3: Meatballs & sauce: clusters of ingredients that together create something that is bigger (more tasty!) than these individual parts. The "sauce" keeps projects together so they can amplify, multiply & reinforce each other in practice. See their brilliant (free) guide to enabling large-scale system change: https://lnkd.in/eYABHfEg. Thank you Laura Yearsley .
