Connecting grassroots community-led climate action groups from SEA & LatAm with donors & networks.

About us

GreenCheck’s mission is to advance global climate justice by serving as a grassroots-centric intermediary. We redistribute resources to community-led climate initiatives and build international communities of solidarity, ultimately empowering local communities to reach their goals. We are a youth-led nonprofit that facilitates fundraising activities, network creation, and capacity enhancement for community-led climate action groups in Southeast Asia and Latin America. GreenCheck contributes to climate action by connecting you to mutual aid networks, supporting communities with resources, and decolonising philanthropy for a climate just future. Currently, our Partners are: 🌱 Pacto X El Clima (Colombia) 🌱 Grown In Haiti (Haiti) 🌱 CEPC Tolimán (Guatemala) 🌱 Klima Action Malaysia (Malaysia) 🌱 Upholding Life And Nature (the Philippines) 🌱 SG Climate Rally (Singapore) With each of our partner groups embodying both local and/or Indigenous knowledge and evidence-based climate solutions, GreenCheck facilitates the implementation of comprehensive, effective, and equitable climate solutions. We thus present to Partner groups and donors an exciting opportunity for co-learning and to find community and support with other climate-concerned people. Freelance translator/interpreter and audiovisual translator (Spanish<>English)

Happy 3rd (belated now, it was July 15th😅) anniversay to GreenCheck! It's been an incredible journey and honour to work with the team, first as a Spanish<>English translator for their website, then as an audiovisual translator, and now as part of the People Service team (for those who don't know what this is, think HR, but cooler). To celebrate, I figured I'd make a post sharing GreenCheck's socials so others can learn about the work the team does, the partner network that has been created, and the biggest project of this year: The Solidarity Academy! This was a project to match climate-activist youth with a GreenCheck partner for a summer-long internship full of (un)learning, workshops, and idea sharing, all culminating in a final project delivered by the interns. Do check out the GreenCheck social media posts to learn more about this project and others! GreenCheck Instagram - @ GreenCheck.earth Facebook - GreenCheck [https://lnkd.in/gDPzqarF]

It was a lovely and thought provoking experience for me. Intersectionalities is a part of human existence and how it also effect climate change. When we talk about Justice it has be intersectional. Super proud on each individual and collective for the amazing work you are doing to create a change. Thank GreenCheck for this wonderful opportunity. Love and solidarity. Keh.💚

That's a wrap on our month-long enriching training for the inaugural batch of Solidarity Academy interns! Anne, Catalina, Kylle, and Jennipher have been hard at work preparing for their respective attachments with our Partners. In the past month, they have delved into topics ranging from the effects of #ClimateChange, to #Decoloniality and #Justice. The interns have also had the opportunity to take part in panels on #Intersectionality, and find out more about the role of storytellers and artivists in #ClimateAction. Stay tuned to find out what's coming up next in the Academy 🌱🌈
