The Partners of Fox Horan & Camerini LLP are moved and extremely grateful for the visit by Mr. Raúl Estripeaut and his daughter, Mrs. Isabelle Estripeaut of the OMC GROUP, and for their generous homage to our late founding partner, Mr. Donald Fox. by presenting us with a beautiful painting by celebrated Panamanian painter Henry Bellido. OMC is a leader in corporate, fiduciary and administrative services worldwide. Our firms began a long and successful collaboration in the early 1980s and still work closely in several jurisdictions serving our mutual clients.  This gathering was a faithful reflection of the legacy Mr. Fox left us. Thank you to the Estripeaut family and the whole OMC Group.

On October 24th partners of our law firm, David Camerini, Tomas Casalins, and Ezequiel Camerini, met with 25 business school students from the business school #“UADE” (Universidad Argentina de la Empresa), of Buenos Aires, Argentina). David gave a presentation concerning why the future business leaders may need to work with New York-based attorneys. #MaríaAngelesBonany, an old friend from #BancoSantander was kind enough to bring the students to our law firm, as part of an annual program she and #JavierGonzalezCamarasa, also from Banco Santander, run every year.

I am very grateful to Simran and @Moses Kagan for inviting me to speak on Accessing Latin American Capital at the breakout session of the fourth annual RECONVENE conference in Santa Monica, CA this past week with Juan Carlos Escutia, CEO of Serta Capital as moderated by Karlo Teran of @Monro Capital, Inc. While the event is for all concerned who are developing or wish to develop any type of real estate projects across the country and seek to do business with other attendees, the obvious caliber and business acumen of the participants attracted to this event matched with their congenial and receptive outlook makes this event truly special.

Had a wonderful time at the IBA Annual Conference in Mexico City. Caught up with old friends and made many new ones. Of the many lectures and presentations offered at the IBA conference, of particular importance to me and many was the “Financing Opportunities in Nearshoring" [in Mexico]. The panel offered an enriching discussion on key topics such as the impact on supply chains, financing strategies, ESG criteria, and taxation. My friend and founding partner of the Ibarra Del Paso Gallego law firm of Mexico City, and the head of the firm’s real estate practice, Carlos Ibarra, together with Edgar Klee Mudespacher of Haynes and Boone, LLP and Liana Yang of Forge West Enterprises, provided valuable insights into these crucial issues in Mexico.

SMEs have accompanied me all along my career entrusting to me their destiny, and I have made a point of pride and pleasure to support them, for 25 years in my profession with Fox Horan & Camerini LLP offering solutions to their challenges and giving them a public voice through WUSME. I know intimately their DNA, I am passionate about the brilliant solutions they develop in a heartbeat, and I suffer with them when lack of resources. I have made my career’s goal to help my SMEs overcome their impasses and to accompany them to succeed beyond their expectations.

What a wonderful conference STEP LatAm Conference was. It is always great to have a perfect excuse to visit Buenos Aires. I enjoyed very much meeting with so many colleagues and friends for many years now. My personal highlights were Mr. Ryan Pinder’s phenomenal presentation and insights about the United Nations Framework on Global Tax Cooperation, Mr. Axel Káiser’s remarks on the current political situation in LatAm and Mr. Agustín Etchebarne’s recap on Argentina’s past, present and potential future. Very much looking forward to next year’s meeting in Mexico.  #STEPLATAM #networking

After a weeklong jury trial in the Commercial Division of the New York Supreme Court, attorneys from Fox Horan & Camerini LLP recently obtained the dismissal of all claims asserted against the defendants and prevailed on defendants’ counterclaims for unpaid dividends. The case, titled Norberto Jorge Levin and Fondo de Inversión Privado Levin Global v. Carlos Luis Salvini and Mauricio Valentim Gugliano, involved competing claims for breach of contract. Eric Lindquist and Shaelyn Gambino Morrison led our firm’s litigation team, assisted throughout by Jessica Posada. This case, and the excellent result achieved, showcases Fox Horan & Camerini LLP’s expertise in resolving complex and sophisticated multinational disputes for our clients arising from commercial contracts and involving letters rogatory, obtaining evidence abroad, proof of foreign law, conflicts of laws issues, bilingual depositions, bilingual court testimony, and concurrent proceedings before U.S. and foreign tribunals. #newyork #supremecourt #fhc #foxhoranandcamerini #litigation
