This is customer advocacy. I invested in solar panels 🏠 and a battery 🔋 a few years ago. After a ton of research on which company to choose, I landed on Freedom Solar Power +Tesla Energy. It was a big investment for my home, so as we pay off our panels I, still, sometimes wonder whether or not it was a waste of our money. It wasn't/isn't. Tesla Energy's "unwrapped" showed us a recap of our usage; like how we saved nearly $1K on our utility bill, as we saved the most in August (can you believe?) 💸 And, our Tesla Archetype is the "Night Owl" 🦉 as our overnight self-powered hours were in the top 33% of Tesla Energy owners. This is such an out of the box and valuable marketing effort from the Tesla Energy team. ⚡️📦 As more brands jump on the "unwrapped" trend every year, it might loose its value – but this is a great starting place to think about how to engage your customers with an end of year recap while tapping into advocacy and awareness via UGC. One of my big resolutions for 2025 is to help pass legislation that protects Texas solar consumers from unscrupulous people and companies. Sara DiNatale and the San Antonio Express-News did incredible work last year to put a spotlight on the problem; this is the year to do something about it. As the paper editorialized this week, Texas has lagged behind other states in consumer protection measures; in 2025, it has the chance to be the leader. I'll be working with legislators and stakeholders during the state's upcoming legislative session to ensure that there are real, effective rules to protect solar customers — and that everyone is playing by them. https://lnkd.in/gt472ycS #TxLege #Solar #ConsumerProtection
