  • As Frieze LA opens its doors today, we’re excited to share that our LA office has been featured in last weekend's Financial Times Collecting supplement. In the article, Melanie Gerlis explores the intersection of climate risk and the devastating wildfires that affected Los Angeles earlier this year. Our very own LA branch director, George Lacovara, was interviewed alongside other key industry leaders to discuss the ongoing recovery efforts in the wake of the fires and the role of the art community in rebuilding. With Frieze LA’s return to the city, we’re proud to be part of a broader effort supporting the arts and local communities during this challenging time. • This Valentine’s Day, we’re celebrating love—not just for fine art, but for our incredible clients, followers, friends, partners, and colleagues. Thank you for entrusting us with the care, transportation, and installation of your most loved pieces. Last year, we had the privilege of working with The Arts Club on the installation of its major exhibition, Daffodils Baptized in Butter. Among the standout works was Michaela Yearwood-Dan’s striking piece, Let it Be Known (2022). Bold, expressive, and deeply evocative, it reminds us how both art and flowers have long conveyed emotions beyond words and for many encapsulating the emotion of love - a sentiment that feels especially fitting today. Wishing all of you a joyful and art-filled Valentine’s Day! #ValentinesDay #FineArt #ArtSpeaks #MichaelaYearwoodDan #TheArtsClub #ArtLogistics #GanderAndWhite

  • We are delighted to have partnered once more with The Arts Club on the installation of its latest pairing of exhibitions: Reflection, featuring works by Judith Godwin, and Lands of the Mind, showcasing pieces by Frederick J. Brown. Our team oversaw the logistics, ensuring the precise installation of these significant works across multiple spaces, including additional works on paper elegantly displayed along the grand staircase. Opening tomorrow and on view until 25 May 2025, both exhibitions offer a compelling exploration of often-overlooked voices in Abstract Expressionism, bringing renewed attention to these influential artists. #ArtLogistics #AbstractExpressionism #FineArtLogisticsSpecialists #FineArtInstallation #GanderAndWhite #JudithGodwin #FrederickJBrown #TheArtsClub

  • At Gander & White, our success is driven by the dedication, expertise, and passion of our exceptional team. From handling priceless artworks to orchestrating seamless logistics, each team member plays a vital role in delivering excellence. Today, we spotlight Sara N Rada, Senior Logistics Manager in Palm Beach, to learn more about her experience, insights, and what excites Sara most about the year ahead. ✨ What’s the most memorable project or artwork you’ve worked on recently? One standout project was the Afterlife: Tombs & Treasures of Ancient Egypt exhibition we imported from Hong Kong in 2014. It was a challenging and memorable experience, particularly when US customs delayed the crates due to ivory artifacts requiring additional documentation. It was incredible to be part of the team that transported a 2,100-year-old mummy, which we took to St. Mary’s Hospital for a CT scan, revealing she had died from a ruptured appendix at just 2-3 years old. More recently, a memorable project was receiving a Triceratops skull from Sotheby’s in 2021. It was awe-inspiring to handle such a rare fossil up close, free of barriers or glass. ✨ What do you love most about working at Gander & White? By far, it's the people! I’m fortunate to work alongside a skilled team, especially Gilles DeGreling, Director of Florida, with whom I’ve had the pleasure of working for over 14 years. His leadership has been invaluable, and I also appreciate my long-standing collaboration with Francis Petit, Director of NY. The variety of each unique project, the art I get to work with, and the continuous learning make every day exciting. ✨ What brought you to Palm Beach, and what do you enjoy most about the area? I moved from our NY office in 2010 to the Palm Beach branch. While I miss the fast pace of NYC, the weather and relaxed lifestyle in South Florida are unbeatable. Palm Beach has become an art hub, with galleries and auction houses thriving, and Miami has one of the world’s hottest contemporary art scenes. ✨ Which project or event in 2025 are you most looking forward to being part of with Gander & White? I’m excited about the ICEFAT 2025 convention in Budapest. It’s always a highlight to meet fellow agents from around the globe, and I’m especially looking forward to spending time with my colleagues from the UK, Paris, NY, and California. Plus, I’m thrilled to explore Hungary and possibly hike the Carpathian Mountains! #GanderAndWhite #MeetTheTeam #ArtLogistics #FineArtHandling #PalmBeach #ArtWorld

  • With extreme weather events becoming more frequent—particularly in Florida—we would like to shine a spotlight on the services we provide to support our clients: protecting sculptural works of art from the devastating impact of hurricanes, tornadoes, and flooding. As specialists in the installation of sculptures in both public and private spaces, we see it as both our responsibility as custodians of culture and in our clients' best interests to provide expert guidance on the ongoing care of their collections and the necessary precautions to safeguard them against the elements. Since 1980, five major hurricanes have each caused over $20 billion in damage across Florida - Andrew (1992), Charley (2004), Wilma (2005), Irma (2017), and Michael (2018) - while Hurricane Ian (2022) was the first to surpass $100 billion in insured and uninsured losses. As climate risks escalate, so does the need for proactive preservation strategies. With decades of expertise in the storage, transportation and installation of high-value cultural objects, and a deep understanding of the unique challenges in Miami and Palm Beach, we work closely with museums and collectors to develop tailored disaster preparedness plans. These include the design and construction of bespoke insulation crates, precisely measured for each sculpture, and securely stored at our facilities for rapid deployment in times of emergency. By combining our technical expertise with a commitment to preservation, we help ensure that priceless works of art remain protected—no matter the forecast. #ArtLogistics #ArtPreservation #HurricanePreparedness #GanderAndWhite #FineArtTransport #SculptureProtection #MuseumServices

  • We're thrilled to share that Gander & White is featured in Claire Wrathall’s latest article for Centurion, The Compendium. In the thought-provoking piece, ‘The Shrinking of Art’, Claire examines the growing trend of small-scale acquisitions in the art market. We’re proud that our Global Business Development and sustainability manager, Alexander Bradford is quoted as a leading voice on this shift, offering key insights into the changing dynamics of art collecting. 🎨 We’re honoured to be in the company of such distinguished figures as Jennie Fisher, Co-Head of Modern and Contemporary Art at Dreweatts 1759 ; Marek Claassen, Co-Founder of the AI-driven art price calculator app Limna; as well as TEFAF and Hauser & Wirth who were tragically effected by the recent wildfires in California last month, all of whom are contributing to shaping the future of art buying. We continue to be committed to our role as custodians of the irreplaceable, safeguarding and guiding the art collections of renowned institutions and collectors worldwide. #ArtMarketTrends #GanderAndWhite #ArtCollecting #ArtMarketTrends

  • We are honoured to support the 2025 Gala Auction at the Norton Museum of Art's forty-ninth annual Gala, celebrating contemporary artist Rashid Johnson and the exhibition Strike Fast, Dance Lightly: Artists on Boxing. Bidding opens tomorrow and closes on Monday 3rd February. A remarkable selection of over 40 exceptional works will go under the hammer, presented in partnership with Sotheby's. The funds raised will directly support the Norton’s curatorial, learning, and community engagement programs —ensuring continued access to art and education for all. As part of our commitment to the arts, we are proudly providing in-kind support to both the Gala and auction, contributing specialist resources to ensure the seamless transportation and installation of these extraordinary pieces. Our teams from across the USA from Palm Beach to Miami, from New York to Los Angeles, under the guidance of Gilles de Greling, Director of our Palm Beach facility, have played a key role in the event's logistics, from initial handling to the final installation of each artwork. We will also be overseeing local and international deliveries following the auction. We would like to congratulate the Norton Museum of Art in advance for another outstanding Gala and it has been a privilege to play a part in this meaningful celebration of art and philanthropy. #NortonGala #FineArtLogistics #GanderAndWhite #RashidJohnson #ArtExhibition #Sothebys #ArtAuction #NortonMuseumofArt #ArtAndPhilanthropy Please Note: The below image was taken on the booth of Tibor de Nagy at Art Basel Miami Beach.
